8 iPad photo editing app to edit photos

The iPad does not have a camera, but this does not mean that it is not useful for photo editing, on the contrary, being an Apple device it is absolutely brought to multimedia and photographic processing.
Thanks to cloud applications such as Dropbox, Google Drive and Onedrive, it is easy to share photos from an iPhone or any other smartphone to an iPad which, with its large touchscreen, becomes perfect for manipulating photos.
In this article we see the best free apps optimized for iPad to edit photos, manipulate them and apply special effects or photo editing .
1) Snapseed (Free)
Snapseed is a photo editor known because it is owned by Google. Despite the acquisition, Snapseed continues to exist as a standalone application (even if its name becomes "Google+ Snapseed" when it is downloaded) and offers a large number of options that I mentioned in the article dedicated to the Snappseed app on iPhone and Android. Snapseed works very well in making basic changes, in applying filters and frames, and also in making more advanced retouching, always in a simple way with its interface optimized for the touchscreen. Hand gestures allow you to adjust the various effects intuitively and quickly, without complicating your life in finding the various options. Unlike many other applications, which only offer photo filters, Snapseed allows you to share photos, open them with other applications, copy or print them.
2) Polarr (Free)
Polarr is a very popular photo-editing app. It presents a number of options ranging from basic improvements and adjustments, to more advanced tools such as red-eye reduction, teeth whitening and spray color. You can also use Polarr to draw on the photo, add text, add stickers or even to turn the image into a meme. The problem with Aviary is that some functions need to be purchased, such as some filters, frames and stickers.
3) Pixlr Express Pixlr is an Autodesk photo editor, simple, but very powerful. Pixlr Express is a bit ugly to use from an aesthetic point of view, but very complete as photo editing options. All the tools in the app are grouped into six categories: adjustments, effects, overlays, borders, types and stickers. Touching a category you will find all the editing options, not very easy for beginners to use due to their abundance. Everything here is free so you can download all the additional tools you want.
4) Photor
Fotor is a free app similar to Snapseed for simplicity and power, different for how it is used. The app, already described in another article, on advanced photo editing for iOS Android and Windows, specializes in collages, filters, effects and photomontages.
5) Pixelmator costs 4.50 Euros but is perhaps the best photo editing app that you can have on iPad. Although with a more simplified interface, Pixelmator can be considered similar to Photoshop, full of tools for photo editing, to draw and create drawings even from scratch.
6) VSCO
If the above applications seem too basic, it is worth trying VSCO which has powerful editing tools, organized through the four main buttons: effects, adjustments, cropping and history. You can choose between various filters to apply immediately and then use powerful editing tools with an intuitive interface.
7) Photoscape, free, offers many different tools and is among the most professional photo editing apps, ideal for photographers and enthusiasts.
8) Lightroom for iPad is a powerful application for editing photos and images saved in the catalog using a series of advanced tools. The application can also crop and apply effects to photos and import RAW files (which are first converted and compressed). The application works on its own, but shows its true potential when connected to the computer with which it synchronizes. However, it's only free if you have a Creative Cloud subscription.
The App Store is full of other photo editors to download, try and buy.
For example, you should not forget to try the famous Photoshop Express and the photo editing apps for iPhone that can certainly be used on an iPad tablet.
