We have talked about air flights several times, about sites to find low cost flights and to save on flights and to look for planes at lower prices, therefore also talking about the now famous SkyScanner, Momondo and Kayak. After years in which there seemed to be not much to invent, a new search engine came out, in its revolutionary way, which I really recommend everyone to try and bookmark.
This is Kiwi.com, a site done really well, very fast, without registration and in Italian, where you just have to put the departure airport and the city where you want to get to know, really, what are the cheapest routes.
At first glance it seems nothing new, but if you compare the results with those of others, you will discover many more alternatives because Kiwi is very much based on stopovers.
Through the combination of various airports, it is also possible to save 50% on the rate of a direct flight which, if we are talking about 100 or 200 Euros, is a big difference.
In addition to the stopovers, what works on the Kiwi site is the price map .
Then putting a departure airport and a range of dates, for example throughout August if you want to leave this summer, you will immediately see on the world atlas which are the cheapest destinations and stopovers in Europe and all over the world.
By clicking on a destination you can see the flights listed by price or by duration of the trip and you can click to go then to book.
The search can also be done on the map by moving a red circle indicating where you want to start from and a green circle, the destination.
The circle can also be enlarged so as to find the lowest prices to start from a particular area of the world and reach another area.
For example, you can thus plan a trip to the USA by choosing to get to the city whose flight from Italy costs less and return from another city with another flight by making different stops and really getting significant savings.
For flights in Europe the airline most present in the results is obviously Ryanair which is always the cheapest.
What amazed me is that you book and buy every flight, including Ryanair ones, directly on the Kiwi website, providing all the data and credit card number, without therefore going to the carrier's website.
The purchase is guaranteed and, even if I have not personally completed a booking with payment, using this site is really convenient both because in Italian and because it is direct and fast, without all the advertisements of sites like that of Ryanair precisely where you are invited to book a hotel, a car, a numbered seat, insurance and other services that are often ignored.
