More useful options and settings for Facebook

With Facebook you never stop learning, both because the positions and graphics of the various settings are often changed, and because new options are often added, not always in the places where you would expect.
There are always new ways to make Facebook better and it is therefore worth listing other new best options and settings for Facebook that are worth knowing.
1) Forward the messages
To forward the contents of a conversation or exchange of messages to other people, you can use the forwarding function.
Then open the Messages section, select a conversation from the left side, go to the Actions menu and click on Forward Messages .
Then choose the messages to be forwarded, click on Next and then mark the names of the recipients to whom they should be sent, adding if you want an extra message.
This can be an effective way of including other people in a Facebook conversation.
2) Use the " View as " to change the way our profile looks to certain people
This is a slightly old trick that has improved in usability in recent times anyway.
In fact, by going to your profile and clicking on the wheel on the right you can use the View as option to know how others see the page.
From here you can filter the profile view for everyone, for a specific group or for a person.
Click on " View as a specific person " and type the name of a Facebook subscriber to see what he sees.
This is definitely the first step to properly adjust Facebook's privacy settings .
3) Invisible only to certain people
In Facebook chat, the way to go offline and stay connected has changed slightly without getting noticed with the green dot by friends.
If you want to be available for some but absent for others, you can only appear offline to certain people and, if necessary, avoid being contacted by everyone.
In another article there is the updated guide to be invisible in chat on Facebook and appear offline which can be summarized in two clicks:
Open the Facebook Chat column, click on the gear icon in the upper right corner, go to Advanced settings, choose the " Enable chat for all friends, except ... " option and enter the names of the friends from whom we don't want to show up.
You can also use the option " Activate chat for some friends only ... " and indicate the names for which you can be online.
4) Plan Facebook status updates from one page.
If you run a Facebook page, you can't always have the time to update it, but you can schedule Facebook page updates in advance in a scheduled way, without using external applications.
Then open the Facebook page, and, under the writing box, press on the small clock icon.
Then select the year, month, day, hour and minutes, one at a time, by entering a future date in which to schedule the publication of an update.

5) Check the tags
Checking tags in photos and videos is also a feature that has been slightly changed in recent times.
it should also be noted that most Facebook users do not even know that it is possible to approve the tags before making them visible on their diary and they allow the diary to be covered by useless images often tagged only to attract attention.
Before publishing photos with your name, you can make sure that it must be approved.
Click on the Activity Log and then on Diary Control to activate the approvals and notifications when you are tagged.
As better explained in the article dedicated to tag control, every time someone labels a photo with our name, you will have the opportunity to approve or reject that photo before it is published on Facebook.
6) Hide the updates of some friends from the news flow without removing friendships
We all have those friends who publish things that we don't really care about or really can't stand.
In order not to raise friendships, which is not nice, simply move the friends to hide in the group of acquaintances.
In this way, the news they publish does not appear in Home on Facebook and will no longer be displayed.
Alternatively, you can press the tab next to each update on the news page.
From here you can first hide a news item and then select which types of updates to receive from this person, including photos, status updates, important events, games etc.
If you press the tab to an application update, you can choose not to see the news generated by it.
These friends will never learn that they have been excluded from the news section.
7) Share links on Facebook correctly and change the title and description of the posts
When you share a link on Facebook, the title and description are automatically filled in.
The correct way to publish a link and share a web page is to copy the URL, paste it, wait for the news to auto-fill in, change the title and description if appropriate by clicking on it with the mouse, delete the link at the top which is ugly to see and share.
This is a great way to make a prominent link on the Facebook feed.
8) Reply to comments on Facebook Pages
From today, you can reply to the comments on the pages by pressing on the new Reply button.
For now, this feature is active only on the pages and could be activated soon also on the profiles.
9) Mute Facebook by preventing chat from making notification sounds .
If the chat window opens on the right, open the settings by clicking on the gear wheel and enable or disable the chat sounds .
