The free version of Teams can be freely downloaded even without an Office 365 or Microsoft account and can be used by groups of up to 300 people .
The program allows you to chat with group members, to search for old messages without limitations, to integrate other applications, to make calls and video calls and to share files with a common storage space of 10 GB plus 2 GB additional for the files of each person
The current free package from Microsoft Teams therefore offers more than the free Slack plan, which provides 5 GB of file space and limits the search to the last 10, 000 messages.

The main functions of Microsoft Teams are as follows:
- Free chat between participants with the possibility of finding old messages without limitations and with end-to-end encryption for maximum confidentiality.
- Channels for group chats where you can invite multiple team members.
