Full iPhone, 2 tricks to recover storage space

One of the most common ways to save money when buying a new iPhone is to choose the smaller model, that is, the one with the least storage space i.e. 16 GB or 32 GB.
The problem with any smartphone with such limited memory, if it cannot be expanded with an SD card as is the case for some models of Android phones, is that it quickly becomes full by running out of available storage space to install new applications and to take new photos .
When the iPhone is full or almost full, fortunately, there are some apps and some settings that you need to know and use whenever you need to, in order not to lose and delete anything and to continue, especially on vacation, to use the camera .
We have already seen, in another article, how to free up space on the iPhone and iPad memory in the canonical ways, looking in Settings -> General -> Space use which are the biggest apps (which will then be uninstalled and reinstalled if you want to delete the temporary data they created) and then clearing the Safari browser cache.
In addition to these, there are two other new tricks, very interesting and effective, which now allow you to recover space when the iPhone is full and no longer has memory to save new photos and new data.

1) The first trick to use when the iPhone is full is to use the function of the iTunes Store to free up memory space when needed and when buying new content.
When necessary and there is 1GB or less of free space, open iTunes and look for a movie with HD quality, which is 5 or 6 GB big.
Try to buy it (the purchase will then be canceled and no money will be spent) to receive from iTunes the warning about the lack of space to save it in memory, with the option to recover space.
This file cleaning does not delete any photos or important data, but simply goes to remove all the temporary files, the useless ones, the junk ones generated by the use of the apps that are counted in the space usage in the " Other " section.
Proceeding slowly and only when the iPhone is really full or almost full and there will be no risk of completing the purchase of the film in Itunes.
2) The second trick, already described on other occasions, is that of the Google Photos app which in its latest version for iPhone has added that option, already so dear on Android smartphones, to recover space and delete all the photos in memory which have already been saved in the free space offered by Google.
There are still many iPhone users who ignore the power of the Google Photos app, clearly more generous than iCloud, because it is simply free without limits.
In practice, it allows you to save all photos taken with your iPhone online in your Google account and then be able to review them on your PC, Mac or other mobile phones, simply by connecting to the Google Photos site.
On the iPhone, then, these photos can be viewed at any time if the phone is connected to the internet.
We talked at length about the important limitless backup feature of Google Photos in another article.
The only condition that must be accepted is the resizing of the photos if they are larger than 16 Megapixels, which is however a fairly high resolution for most of the photos taken with the mobile phone.
Whenever you run out of space and the iPhone is full, then open Google Photos and, in the app settings, clear the cache and press the button that frees up space automatically, without wasting time making choices and sure not to miss anything.
To permanently delete photos from the iPhone memory (but not from the Google cloud), you must then open the iPhone Photos app (that of Apple), open the Trash album and delete everything.
The app is also capable of automatically detecting if the iPhone is full by displaying a warning to make up for space.
To talk about this function and also not to miss the opportunity to hit Apple, Google has made a rather nice and ironic video.

3) To these two tricks I add the third one I have already talked about in the past, to access Facebook from the site by removing the Facebook app which is the largest and the one that creates the most temporary and useless files of all
