There are at least three problems with using an iPad or Android tablet to read books :
- First of all, reading at night on the bright screen of the tablet can be annoying to the eyes, fatigue that is considerably less when reading on the screen of eBook Readers equipped with an e-Ink screen.
- Second problem is the battery which in normal tablets does not last more than one or two days, while on dedicated reading devices it lasts weeks.
- Finally, Ebook readers are much lighter and more portable than normal tablets and are easier to carry around, with less worries about possible damage (also considering how much the iPad costs).
