iPhone: maximum performance capacity based on battery status

With the latest iOS update for iPhone and the transition to iOS 11.3, a new information sheet has been introduced regarding the battery status. For Apple this was the opportunity to close definitively close the unpleasant controversy about the fact, remained hidden, that after a certain period of time the iPhone becomes slow due to the battery that no longer holds the highest energy demands. Just think that in 2019 Apple even offered the battery change for iPhone at a price of 29 Euros.
The most important thing is however the possibility of checking the health of the battery, in order to give users more information on the duration of the recharge and on why the performance of the device can drop when the battery becomes less efficient.

Once the iOS system has been updated on iPhone 6, 6S, 7, 8, X, XS, XR and later models, you can check the integrity of the battery by going to Settings> Battery> Battery Status, reported for now in the testing phase ( beta).
The Battery Status information screen shows its maximum capacity when fully charged, which should be 100% for a new phone, and drop to around 80% after 500 full charge cycles.
Therefore, imagining that the phone is fully charged once a day, the iPhone battery should have an acceptable life for just over a year and a half and instead begin to degrade a lot after two years.
At the bottom is the wording Maximum performance capacity, under which it should be written that the battery currently offers standard peak performance . This means that the phone should operate normally without ever turning off suddenly due to a peak in demand that the battery cannot meet. When the first sudden shutdown occurs, the maximum performance capacity screen will write that due to a sudden shutdown the performance management system has been activated, thus slowing down the speed of the iPhone to run the applications.
However, you can press the Disable button to ignore the warning and let the performance remain unaltered, even if with the risk that a sudden stop may occur again and more and more frequently. If a deterioration of the battery with a maximum capacity of less than 80% is detected, the warning to replace the battery as soon as possible will appear under the wording of the maximum performance capacity .
This new feature on the health status of the battery is certainly a welcome addition, finally giving the user the opportunity to allow or not to slow down the phone, which previously took place without any warning and without anyone knowing anything (making it think it was made on purpose by Apple to force customers to buy a new iPhone). However, the battery problem remains on iPhones, now a defect that can no longer be underestimated. After just over a year, in fact, the duration of the recharges will already be unsatisfactory and we will soon be forced to pay those 80 Euros to replace the battery needed to regain the energy autonomy of before. In the end it was much better when on cell phones it was possible to replace the battery in a simple way by lifting a cover and without using screwdrivers, perhaps buying a compatible one at the stall for a few tens of Euros.
