On Facebook, in theory, when you want to read an article or show a photo to friends, you publish this content in your diary. Friends will then be able to go to the Facebook home page and find what we shared among the various news items.
Unfortunately there are people who, partly because they don't know how to use Facebook, partly because of the desire to show something by force to a specific friend, publish in the diary of others.
This annoying thing to publish in another person's personal diary is a very annoying thing that shouldn't be done.
If, however, you have a friend or relative who has this habit, to prevent him from writing on our profile without taking away his friendship, there is a rather simple solution, which should not create problems and which will not prevent this person from publishing on the our diary what he wants us to see or read.
To prevent friends from posting on our Facebook profile, you can go to your account settings by pressing the down arrow button located at the top right.
From the settings, press on Diary and adding tags from the list on the left and change the " Who can write to your diary" option> You can then change the Friends option to Just me (then press on Close ), effectively preventing anyone to write on our Facebook profile (not to comment).
However, this change can have an unpleasant consequence.
For example, when it will be our birthday, it will be impossible for friends to send us wishes on Facebook in our diary.
It is therefore advisable to leave this option as it is and instead change another one that Facebook makes available to us.
Still on the same screen, press on Change to the option Who can see what others publish in your diary? .
Here you can set " Just me " so that those who want to write on our profile, can do it freely and leave us all the messages they want, however they will be private and visible only to those who wrote them and to us.
In this option there are several privacy options and you can also make publicly visible anything that is written in our diary.
