Guide to the Dash Button, the Amazon button for automatic purchases

One of those definitely innovative "devilries" arrives directly from the USA, which seem so strange and useless, but which has had extraordinary success in the American market.
It is the Amazon Dash Button, a mini device the size of a package of candies, which allows you to make orders and automatic purchases on Amazon, for that single product for which it is configured.
The typical example of using a Dash Button is that of the washing machine, so when the detergent tablets run out, just press the button to make a new automatic order without having to make any confirmation, without having to open the computer or smartphone.
Each Dash Button costs 5 Euros and can only be used with an Amazon Prime subscription.
To use the Dash Button, once purchased, it is only necessary to configure it via the Amazon app for Android or for iPhone.
The Amazon Dash Button has only one button and one LED that lights up to confirm the order.
You can hang it wherever you want using a removable hook or gluing it on a clean, dry and flat surface with the adhesive on the back.
Inside there is a battery that lasts up to five years.
To start with the Amazon Dash button, connect your phone to your home Wifi network, start the Amazon Shopping app and turn on Bluetooth.
In the My Account menu section of the menu, find the Dash devices and tap to set up a new device.
After checking the account details, hold down the Dash button until the LED flashes blue and connect it to the Wi-Fi network by entering the password.
In the next step you can choose the product to associate with the button from the available list which changes according to the Dash purchased.
For example, with the Dash Barilla you can choose between a pack of pasta or a sauce or another Barilla product.
For the order to work, it must be configured in your account settings in Manage 1-Click Addresses and Settings .
Pressing the Dash button must be single and single, without holding down.
In case of multiple touches, the program has a protection that prevents you from creating new orders if there is already one in preparation or shipping.
In the event of errors, orders can still be canceled before the shipment starts.
By holding down the Dash key, however, you enter the Wifi configuration.
The LED flashes white when Amazon processes the order while it turns green for five seconds if the order was successful.
In the case of red light, the order has failed and you will receive a notification on the application with further details.
The only thing that I am not yet clear about is whether the shipping costs of a single product are always free or not.
For those who want to buy one of the already available Dash Buttons, they can access this page on the Amazon website.
