Free PC game set in Chernobyl: Stalker Lost Alpha

When you have a game so beautiful that it is distributed for free to everyone, you can only applaud and share it with satisfaction.
The game is a remake of an old 2003 game called STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl, set in the infamous area hit by the nuclear power plant explosion.
The remake is STALKER: Lost Alpha and is a complete makeover of its predecessor, edited by a group of passionate independent programmers and, at least for now, non-profit.
STALKER: Lost Alpha is a first person shooter survival game, where you have to walk in the terrible territory of Chernobyl and avoid being killed by abnormal mutants and beasts generated by post-explosion radioactivity.
For its apocalyptic atmosphere, Stalker Lost Alpha is all played with an accelerated heart beat, in a mix of excitement, fear and desire to discover an area of land abandoned by man, truly existing.
The Chernobyl Exclusion Zone is incredible, made up of ruined buildings abandoned for years and city streets where vegetation has now taken over.
The silence around is interrupted by howling sinister and monstrous noises that do not portend anything good.
The Zone is like hell on earth, full of strange lethal anomalies, dangerous mutant creatures that wander and people who disappear every day.
The military cordons protect the area from those who want to enter: adventurers, mercenaries, fanatics and onlookers who go there to look for radioactive artifacts that are sold by weight on the black market and that bring special powers to those who wear them.
Those who enter the Zone illegally are known as stalkers (which stands for Scavengers, Trespassers, Adventurers, Loners, Killers, Explorers, Robbers) and are organized into various factions, each with a different goal.
In Lost Alpha, he takes the role of one of the Stalkers who remembers nothing of his past and who has the aim of recovering objects within the Zone and recovering memory.
The outside world is post-apocalyptic, with a very accurate graphics, especially from the atmospheric point of view, which does not put aside the details to show the degradation of the area.
The map to be explored is huge, guaranteeing several hours of play, and you can also enter some buildings to discover the abandoned objects of those who lived there, to make you shiver.
There are explorable areas torn apart by earthquakes, dense forests, swamps, industrial areas, countryside, secret cities, underground places and much more.
Particularly noteworthy are the Chernobyl nuclear power plant and the nearest city, Pripyat, replicated with authenticity by the programmers.
The city of Pripyat in Ukraine really exists and is one of the most incredible and inaccessible places in the world.
There are also high radioactivity areas to avoid and thunderstorms from which to immediately take refuge with the sound of an alarm siren.
This is a very ambitious and very beautiful game, completely free to download for Windows PC, from XP onwards.
The gameplay is that of an excellent shooter game with role-playing components and linear progression, detailed and huge game maps, even if lifeless and only to be explored when the mission requires it.
To download Stalker Lost Alpha you need to go to the Moddb website and download the various files Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4 and the latest patch.
The RAR files must all be placed in the same folder and then extracted starting from the first one; in the end you have to extract and install the patch.
