Deactivate the mobile version of a site on the smartphone

Many websites, including Navigaweb.net, open differently when viewed from a mobile or smartphone browser, displaying the mobile version.
This is done to reduce bandwidth consumption and adapt the content of that site to the smallest mobile phone screen, so that it is easy to navigate and read.
It sometimes happens, however, that the mobile version of the site is more limited than the normal site or, even, that it is only visible for a fee as it happens for some online newspapers such as Repubblica and Corriere.
Fortunately, it is very simple to open the desktop version of a website on an Android mobile phone, Windows Phone and iPhone, avoiding the mobile version, both on demand and permanently .
First of all it is worthwhile, for each site opened with the main browser of the smartphone, if in the lower part there is a link for the desktop version as happens, for example, by opening the mobile version of navigaweb.net.
Deactivating the mobile version of a website on Android and iPhone is very simple
From the Chrome browser go to settings and enable the desktop site request.
From the Safari browser instead press the Share button and then request the desktop version.
However, these options are only temporary and browsing returns to normal after closing and reopening the browser.
The solution, both on iPhone and Android, comes from Firefox, where you can install the User Agent Switcher add-on to change user agents and deactivate the mobile version by asking to see each site that opens in a PC version.
To navigate from your smartphone as you would from a PC, you can also install a different browser.
Among the many browsers for Android, my choice is to install Dolphin browser, one of the best ever.
In Dolphin, open the settings (by dragging the pop-up button at the bottom left of the three-line icon) and change User Agent asking to see the desktop version.
In this way you can use Chrome as the main browser and Dolphin to open sites in PC version such as, for example, online newspapers.
On iPhone, to navigate from your mobile phone as if you were using a PC, you can install the Puffin browser, free, easy to use, where you can disable the cellular display of a website.
From the Puffin browser, go to the top right menu tap More -> Settings -> User Agent.
Puffin will open all sites in the PC version, disabling the desktop version.
Deactivating the mobile version of a website on Windows Phone is possible directly from Internet Explorer, in the settings, by changing the preferences of the website.
