Search where the phone is on Google

From now it will be much easier to find the lost phone because Google has integrated the location function of a phone (whatever it is, both Android and iPhone), in its search engine .
In practice it is now possible to know, at any time, where our phone is located by searching for it on Google as it would be with anything else.
The first result of Google will be the map with the more or less exact position of the mobile phone and the possibility, by pressing a button under the map with the word Squillo, to make it ring 5 consecutive minutes (to stop the ring press the power button on the phone) .
At the top right of the map box you can choose which device to locate, if you have more than one Android smartphone or tablet.
If you press on the map instead, the location page of the phone opens which, in addition to showing the map on the whole page, offers some more security options, to delete the memory in case it has been stolen or to block it if it has been lost, but is expected to be found.
This location page is not new and we talked about it in the guide to the app to find the mobile "Find my Android", but it is now also available for iPhone.
In fact, therefore, the novelty is only in facilitating access to the page to find the mobile phone, which before was almost impossible to know if you don't usually read blogs like Navigaweb.net.
To search where your phone is on Google, you only need to enable phone location in the Google Account settings.
Then open the list of applications and then the Google Settings app, go to the Security section and activate the two options: Locate this device remotely and, while we're at it, also the option Allow remote locking and deletion .
Still in Google Settings, go to the Geolocation menu and activate the option with low consumption mode.
To work searching the phone from Google it is necessary now that the phone is connected to the internet, otherwise the location will be too inaccurate or impossible.
At this point you can open the Google site on any PC, log in with your Gmail account and search for " Find phone ", reset the access password that is required for further security and confirmation of identity and, finally, discover the map.
For the moment, this mobile search is only active in English, on Google.com, by searching for the words find my iphone
To try, the location should work by opening the address //www.google.it/search?q=find+phone (always remember that you must log in with your Gmail account, the same one used on the Android phone).
