Turn off Windows sounds with one click without turning down the volume

This short article is one of the useful but certainly not essential tips to better use a Windows PC.
Problem: you are watching a movie or listening to music from your computer and, every now and then, you hear annoying beeps or alerts that Windows shoots in case of application errors or when opening pop-ups or, again, sound alerts incoming mail and so on. So how to solve this annoying and unbearable problem that does not make us live and distracts?
Pom-HeyWEB! always sensitive to the nervous state of its readers and always oriented to create the conditions to use the PC without stress, it signals a very small application capable of eliminating the sounds of the PC with a simple click.
To turn off the Windows sounds that you don't want to hear without having to turn down the main volume, without changing the sound settings on the control panel and without turning off the speakers, you can download SoundOff .
The application weighs about 1MB, is free (obviously) and, once installed, will add an icon in the tast bar (bottom right near the clock). Through that icon there is a small and essential menu that allows you to enable or disable Windows sounds or to create profiles by choosing which sounds should be disabled and which not.
The only recommendation is to be careful because this application starts in the background with the PC and in any case, even if little, it consumes memory and resources.
SoundOff no longer exists but can be downloaded from Softpedia servers.
I want to say that on Windows 7 and Windows 10 you can turn off the sounds of Windows leaving the ones of the browser or the media player high, simply by the volume icon near the clock.
