Create Screensavers with photos and images and animated effects on Windows

I think that of screensavers is one of the most debated computer topics in the history of home computers and it is always one of the first things that are customized on the PC desktop. In the past, screensavers served and preserved monitors so that still images were not etched, but today they are used for pure visual pleasure, as elements of digital graphics. Honestly, I never liked installing one of the screensavers found on the internet, especially since often, behind the sites that allow the download of screensavers, malware and advertisements are hidden.
The best screensavers, on the other hand, are those customized with your own photographs or your own images to be displayed in sequence with pleasant transition effects .
So let's see the best easiest and easiest ways to create an animated screensaver with your own photos on Windows 10, Windows 7 and Windows 8.
1) The easiest way to create a screensaver is included in Windows 10 features .
On Windows 10 you just need to organize any folder by inserting inside the photos you want to see in the screensaver. Then press the right button of the desktop on any empty part of the screen, and in the menu that opens, press on " Personalize ".
In the Wallpaper Settings, press on Lock Screen and then, on the right, scroll down to open the Screen Saver Settings . The screen that opens allows you to choose, from a drop-down menu, the Photos or Photo Gallery screensaver. Press the Settings button to choose the folder inside which there are the images you want to scroll on the screen when the PC is not in use. Once chosen, you can choose the frequency of the image change and whether to activate the random reproduction of the images, without respecting the alphabetical order.
- On Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 the procedure is the same and you can open the screensaver configuration directly by pressing the right button on an empty part of the desktop background.
2) The Professional Screensaver with PowerPoint .
A professional, within a company, can also be seen from how he keeps his computer, and to amaze employers and customers, there is nothing better than to insert, as a Screensaver, the presentation in Powerpoint of your company or of their work.
Much more trivially, however, for the most pranksters, you can use one of those nice and original slide presentations made with Powerpoint that you often receive via email as a screen saver.
To set up a Powerpoint file as a screensaver, you need to open it with Powerpoint 2007, click on the big "Office" button, click on " save as " -> " other format ".
Select an empty folder or create a new one to keep the chosen PowerPoint file and save it as a file (in the " Save as " drop-down menu) from the format of your choice between GIF, JPG, TIFF, PNG, BMP.
Only one, the current one or the whole presentation can be saved as images.
Eventually you will have a folder of images that can be used for the Windows screensaver as described in point 1 of this post.
Obviously with this method the graphic effects of the presentation itself are lost because in fact the slides are converted into image files and Powerpoint has little to do with the actual creation of the screensaver.
3) The screensaver of good graphics is done with Picasa .
Picasa, now in version 3, has become one of the best programs to manage photos on your computer and among its functions it also has that of setting the properties of the Google Screensaver. If you open Picasa, by clicking on the Tools menu, you can choose to configure the screensaver. In the configuration window you will find the main options for applying transition effects (very varied ranging from collage to fading, zooming and so on) on the photo slideshow. Then you can choose photos from the Picasa album, from other folders on your computer or from the web.
4) The app for Windows 10 Screen Saver Gallery allows you to activate a screensaver with photos taken from the photographers' collections, with landscapes from all over the world that flow during the period of computer inactivity.
5) See a video like Sceensaver had already been written on another article.
6) On another page are listed some beautiful free animated screensavers, aquarium and matrix effect and other free screensavers with clock, weather forecast and weather.
7) The Photojoy program transforms the desktop in a very pleasant way by using your photos with collages, cutouts and very lively effects.
Although I am among those who believe that the best screensaver is the one that turns off the monitor, I can only ask you if you know other easy ways to create beautiful screensavers with photos.
