Microsoft Sway to share multimedia presentations online

Microsoft has released a new program, for now free of charge and in the form of an application for Windows 10 and web, which could very well be a replacement for Powerpoint or, perhaps, an evolution of it.
The application is called Sway, it is part of the Office suite and can be used for free to create multimedia presentations of various types and interactive, with the aim of sharing them online.
What makes Sway an excellent program is not only the fact that, being online, it can be used from any computer without having to download and install anything, but also its ease of use, to create and share slides and presentations with written inside, images, photos and videos .
On the first start, just press the button to start and access your Microsoft account which is the same used in Windows 8, Windows Phone, Hotmail, Outlook.com and all other services.
you can then create a new multimedia presentation by first choosing the style from the menu at the top right and then adding slides.
By choosing a Media type card as a new card, you can include videos from Youtube or images and photos taken from Onedrive, Google Drive, Facebook, Dropbox, Flickr, Twitter and other services.
In addition to photos and videos, PDF files can also be added to the slides.
If you choose the Layout element for the new card, you can choose instead to group the photos in a single slide or to put a text on a background.
Several other layouts are marked as "coming soon" and will be available soon.
The Mood button at the top right allows you to format and adjust the graphic style by choosing one already prepared while the Remix button allows you to apply different styles until you find the one you want to keep.
With the Share button at the top right you can choose how to share the presentation, whether through links, on Facebook and Twitter or by embedding it within a web page.
The online sharing of Sway's slides is a bit the strong point of the application, which seems designed above all to make the dissemination of content via the web immediate.
The presentations will therefore be visible in an absolutely correct and scaled way even from a smartphone or tablet, without the need to install anything.
Sway is a web application similar to others already seen, such as Slideshare, a kind of Powerpoint online or Prezi to create presentations with zoom on large images.
Simple to use Sway can be used to create and share interactive content mixed in the form of presentations of excellent quality, in school or university and also for work, in order to quickly share aggregate data to be presented in meetings.
Sway is currently usable as a web version on the Sway.com website and as an application for Windows 10 that works even if the PC is not connected to the internet.
