It's called Sarahah the summer app, which is keeping thousands of people in Italy and all over the world glued to mobile phones, which was created with the aim of truly saying what one person thinks about another.
Actually Sarahah, the Arabic word whose meaning is honesty, works like a chat to which we can all subscribe for free, where we can send and receive anonymous messages .
The sense of anonymously writing to someone is that in this way we are free to truly say what we think without risking consequences.
For example we can reveal our feelings towards a person, say what we don't like about a friend or contact someone who doesn't know us to chat freely without revealing our identity.
Obviously, then, all this can translate into insults, vulgar messages and offensive words, but this is part of the natural consequence of online anonymity.

In the first case, we could use a recognizable name and put a picture of one's face, so that friends can find us, rest assured that when we send messages to someone, they will always be received without any indication of who we are.

From the wheel at the top right you can enter the settings where you can activate the notifications to be notified when we receive a new message and where there are two important privacy options.
In fact, you can choose whether or not to appear in the searches made by others and whether to allow everyone to contact us or only to the authorized ones.
How anonymity works in Sarahah

The substance of the application is all in the fact that who receives a message will never know who sent it.

Like all apps of this type, this too can lend itself well to Cyberbullying, which can take place, for example, when several people, covered by anonymity, agree to insult someone en masse, perhaps focusing on their physical defects or weak points .
In a few days from the viral spread of Sarahah, controversy has already broken and there are also reports of people who have received anonymous death threats, very easy to do with such an app.
To top it off, it's worth knowing that messages sent with Sarahah are not encrypted, so there isn't much protection and complete privacy of what you write.
