Read and send SMS from Windows 10 with the "your phone" app

A nice novelty of Windows 10, among the best features of the Windows 10 1809 update, is the new " Your phone " app, a little hidden, still a partially incomplete, but already fully functional.
With this new application that can be found by searching for " phone " in the Windows 10 Start menu, you can not only read the SMS of the phone, but also send them directly from the computer .
Also you will find a section to view photos of the phone in Windows 10 without having to download or transfer them.
In the future, from this same app, you can also mirror the entire phone screen to see it on the PC screen and view the notifications from your phone on the PC.
Note that the " Your Phone " app only works on Android 7 and later smartphones and not on the iPhone (because Apple does not allow such deep integrations from other developers on iOS) and is an evolution of the function to connect the smartphone to the PC with Windows 10 already explained in the past (which instead also works on iPhone).
To configure the connection between Android and Windows 10 smartphones you need to install the Microsoft application: Cellular Connection Wizard, which is free on the Google Play Store.
After installing it, open it and follow the instructions on the screen.
In Windows 10 you need to open Settings> Phone and activate the connection with your smartphone, so that it appears in the list of connected devices.
This app allows, without doing anything else, to use the phone sharing options to send web pages, links, photos and other contents to the PC, by sharing on " Continue on PC ".
To see the SMS messages and photos of the phone, it is necessary, instead, to open the Your Phone app which is located in the Start menu (looking for it from the search bar).
The application then asks to authorize access to SMS and access to photos on the phone to work.
A notification appears on the Android phone screen where you have to touch the button to grant the permission.
Once done, the SMS list is populated with all the messages received and it is also possible to send them directly from the computer (always leaving the phone connected).
When you receive a new SMS, if the connection is active, a notification will appear on your computer.
This function is practically identical to that of the Android Messages site for sending and receiving SMS on PC.
The phone app however becomes a powerful tool for text messages, to write SMS with the keyboard of your PC.
From the photo section you can see recent photos taken with the phone, so that you can also copy them to your computer (for the moment, however, not yet functional).
As mentioned above, Microsoft has also announced future updates to improve this application so that it can receive all phone notifications and mirror the screen on the computer, displaying it in a window on the desktop.
