How to fake GPS and location on Android to look like a different place

In this guide we see how it is possible to make an Android smartphone detect a different geographical position from the real one .
In practice we are going to falsify the GPS so that the apps used on the phone, such as Google Maps or Facebook, think that we are on the other side of our current position.
This ability to falsify the GPS of your Android phone is also a way of fixing the Pokemon GO game, so you can play by finding the Pokemon around without leaving your home.
There are two ways to fake the location on the Android phone, one for non-rooted phones, one for unlocked smartphones with Root which is more effective.
If the phone is not unlocked with root, download and install the Fake GPS Location Spoofer Free app .
After installing it, open the app and activate the required permissions.
You will then be asked to activate GPS (in the geolocation settings do not use high precision but only GPS or only device ) on the phone and disable Wifi.
At some point he will ask you to activate an option in the Android developer menu which is essential for it to work and falsify the smartphone's GPS.
If not active, go to Settings, go to Phone info and tap 5 times fast on the Build number line.
This will bring up the developer options in the Android Settings.
Then open the developer options, scroll down and find " Select dummy location app .
Touch and select Fake GPS .
Accept the last warning and the app is ready.
Simply touch a point on the map twice quickly, double-tapping, to fix the GPS detector on a point by falsifying it.
Alternatively, you can search for a city or address by tapping on the magnifying glass icon.
Press the orange button to activate the false position.
To try, open Google Maps and verify that the detected location is the selected one which can be in the USA, New Zealand or any other country.
To stop the fake GPS and go back to detecting the correct position, open the Fake GPS app and press the Stop button at the bottom (which is the same Play button).
To do this first, lower the notification bar and tap the square next to the FakeGPS notification.
Another similar app is Fake GPS Application Floater, which works similarly and does not require Android root.
