Delete Whatsapp images from groups and chats to free up memory

WhatsApp is one of those applications that never fails in every smartphone, probably more widespread than Facebook itself if you look at the Italians' cell phones.
Whatsapp is used instead of SMS to exchange messages and also instead of Email to exchange photos and videos.
The problem, with Whatsapp, is that after some time you use it, it fills the phone memory with stuff that you probably don't want to keep.
In fact, those who receive many photos or images on Whatsapp, especially published in the various groups in which they participate, those where we often exchange funny images, memes or curious photos, may soon see the memory of the internal space or the SD card run out and not have more space to install other applications or to take new photos.
These spam messages with useless photos that often come from our friends or relatives, can be fun to receive every now and then, but you should remember to delete them if you don't want them to clog the whole phone.
To check the photos received and sent in Whatsapp and to delete all that junk from funny friends, groups of friends or work colleagues from the phone, there are two ways, one manual and one automatic really convenient.
One of the ways to get rid of junk and unwanted images is to delete them from chats .
Open in Whatsapp every conversation we know is full of photos, images and videos, tap the options button and open the group's Media or Media .
From here you can choose which ones to select and delete and which ones to keep.
Since 2017, a new option has been available, on iPhone and Android, which allows you to clean archive use and free up space on Whatsapp
To make it a little faster and check all the Whatsapp media in one go, you need to open the Whatsapp file folder and delete all the images and videos (which are the ones that take up the most space) one by one .
To do this, you can open the gallery app and search for the Whatsapp folder.
On the Google Photos app, which is the most immediate to use, press the button at the top left with three lines to get to the main menu, and then tap on Device folders .
At the bottom, under the Camera folder, you can open the Whatsapp Images and Whatsapp Videos folders to browse and check all the files received and sent and then select and delete those that take up space unnecessarily.
In Google Photos the selection of files is really easy because just touch and hold your finger on the screen by moving it on the photos to select.
To do the same thing you could also use a file management app such as ES File Explorer, tap at the top on Homepage and go to the Device / sdcard / Whatsapp / Media path and browse the Whatsapp Images and Whatsapp Video directories, select the ones to be deleted and delete them with the trash can symbol.
If you do not want to delete all the photos received and sent with Whatsapp and to make a more precise selection, but without wasting too much time, there are two very nice, comfortable and ingenious Android smartphone applications that come in handy.
1) I had already talked about one of these apps in the past: Gallery Doctor to eliminate bad photos from memory on Android
Using Gallery Doctor it is possible to open the Whatsapp images folder and choose, with the Tinder system (i.e. saying yes or no, I like or dislike), which ones to keep and which ones to delete.
2) With the intelligent Cleaner for WhatsApp app you can scan all the images received in the various chats to find those that are detected as rubbish to be deleted.
The images that are proposed for deletion are screenshots, memes, cartoons and practically all the images with an inscription on them.
After scanning, you are offered the option to delete all the detected images in one go.
The Magic Cleaner app is free even if it requires to be shared with a friend in a Whatsapp message (or wait a day) to be able to use it in full.
3) Google Go Files includes the photo cleaning function with automatic detection of those which, received in WHatsapp, are definitely to be deleted.
