Enable Chrome offline mode on PC and Android

The " offline " mode has always been present in browsers such as Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer in order to be able to open previously visited web pages even if the computer is not connected to the internet.
This function is based on the creation of a cached copy of the websites visited in the past so that, even with the offline PC, these are loaded from the cache, in the last version stored at the time of the last view.
Sometimes this function can be convenient, especially on laptops, to reread newspaper and blog articles even with an offline PC on an airplane, on a train or in situations where it is not possible to connect.
The possibility of being able to open websites already visited even without internet connection is possible, in Chrome, by activating a hidden option in that chrome: // flags menu full of other experimental features that in the future may be part of versions of Chrome.

To activate the offline mode of Chrome, on PC and Android, open a new Chrome tab by writing on the address bar chrome: // flags and press enter as if you were visiting a website.
The page that opens is very long and contains many functions that, if you do not know, it is better not to touch.
Then press the CTRL-F keys together to open a search box and find the Show Saved Copy Button option.
You will notice that this option works on Chrome for Windows, Mac, Linux, Chrome OS and also on Android and for all the same instructions apply.
Then click on the Default option and change it by setting to Enable Primary or Enable Secondary .
The difference is only in the position of the button which from this moment will appear on the error page of the absent internet connection.
After the modification, restart Chrome and open some web pages like this same article and try the new functionality by disconnecting the wifi or turning off the internet connection.
At this point, on the computer or on the Android smartphone without internet, when you open a site already visited in the past such as navigaweb.net, the usual error page appears indicating "no internet connection".
Unlike before, however, there is also a blue button that says " show saved copy ", which allows you to open the latest version of that site as it was last viewed.
With this option active, Chrome caches all the images, the HTML code, the JavaScript codes, the CSS style sheets and all the other objects included in a web page so that it appears as equal as possible to the original.
The only difference is that the contents are not fresh and updated and that the videos will not work.
The cached copy is not created for sites with https connection such as Facebook, Google and many others.
Obviously, if you clear the cache of Chrome (even using programs like Ccleaner) also the copies of the saved web pages are removed.
