Facebook is not only a site where you can upload photos from your mobile phone to share the funniest moments with friends in real time, but also one of the best ways to share photos privately with friends and relatives. Photos uploaded to Facebook can be downloaded to your computer to keep a local copy at any time by opening the image and then clicking the Options -> Download menu.
What you can't do, however, is the download of entire photo albums on Facebook, your own but also those of friends.
For this reason, special social network features or external programs and plugins to be installed on the computer must be used.

1) First of all, it is possible to download all the user's albums using the data download function that Facebook itself makes available to everyone.
As already explained, you can enter the Account Settings and click on it is written Download a copy to download all the messages, photos and data uploaded to Facebook to date.
The images are downloaded together with so much other stuff that may not be of interest and it is not even easy, after downloading, to view the photos quickly.
With this method, however, tagged photos uploaded by friends are not included.
However, you can make sure that all the photos you have tagged in are automatically copied to a private Facebook album thus becoming downloadable.
This is possible by creating a recipe of this type in the IFTTT automatic service.

2) As already explained in another article, you can use an online service such as IFTTT or WappWolf to transfer all the photos from Facebook to Dropbox and then find them on the computer (if you install the Dropbox client).
The system is clear, simple and, above all, automatic, also valid for future photos and those in which you are tagged.
Dropbox isn't the only option and you can also use a different cloud like Google Drive or SkyDrive.
3) Image Downloader is an extension or plugin for the Google Chrome browser that allows you to download entire photo albums in one go.
Whenever you go to a photo album in FAcebook, you can press the extension's button on Chrome and wait for all the images to be saved.
Press CTRL and S to download the photos that will be saved in a folder of your choice.
Also for Google Chrome, the Download FB Album Mod extension allows you to quickly download the photo albums displayed on Facebook.
4) For Chrome there is an extension, Download FB Album, to download photo albums from Facebook freely and quickly by clicking a new button that appears for each album.
5) Excellent Photo Grabber program for downloading photos tagged with Facebook, treated in another article.
6) PicnZip works very well, a program that allows you to download photos and albums from Facebook to your computer .
Like the others, it works to download images and photo albums published by themselves, contacts and friends.
The peculiarity is that it downloads the albums and images where you are tagged in zip format or in a single PDF document .
7) Social Downloader is a good program for Windows PC to download photo albums from Facebook and Instagram.
When you intend to use it the first time you will be asked to add your Facebook account.
You can download all the photos visible from your account, both personal and friends'.
8) Drop N Sync is a PC program that allows you to synchronize Facebook photos on your computer.
In this way, all the photos included can be automatically downloaded by the program that remains running in the background.
