App to skip the line

Nowadays everything is going fast and "in a hurry", constantly looking for a way to save some time and dedicate yourself to something else. Even if the advertisements certainly do not help the search for calm (pushing rather towards a "fast" type of consumerism), at least once in our life we will have happened to want to skip the line at the post office or in any other office, perhaps making absurd excuses or engineering ourselves with unkind methods to skip the line.
If we want to avoid quarrels or reproaches from those who correctly respect the queue, in this guide we will show you the apps that we can use anywhere to skip the queue and speed up the most "annoying" commissions, that is, pay a bill at the post office or queue at the Municipality to get a certificate. By using these apps wisely, however, we will save a lot of time and we will not even have to deal with the other people who stay in line, since we can do everything from home in most cases.

Skip the line to post 1: Post Office app

If we really have to go to the post office and we cannot avoid it (for example to activate an account, to open a new PostePay or to pay a check), we can legally skip the line using the Post Office app, available free for Android and iOS.

With this app it is sufficient to choose the post office where to carry out the operations and choose an arrival time: the app will generate a QR code and a dedicated row number, completely different from those that the machine releases to the post office. To skip the line, simply arrive at least 10 minutes in advance of the booked time, bring the QR code of the app near the appropriate sensor of the machine that prints the tickets and wait for the confirmation of your number. In a few minutes we will be called to the nearest free counter, which will take care of our practice in a short time "bypassing" even those who instead arrived at the post office but took the queue with the classic ticket.
Unfortunately, not all post offices are compatible, but only those with electronic queue management; in addition, the "pensions" effect, released the first days of the month, must not be overlooked (in many cases they switch off the machines or program them not to take line numbers from the app, to avoid mess or problems).

Skip the queue at post 2: pay bills online

If we have to pay bills for utilities, instead of queuing at the post office, we can use the BancoPosta and Postepay apps to quickly pay the bills from home or anywhere else.
For those who have a BancoPosta account, we download the specific apps here -> BancoPosta (Android) and BancoPosta (iOS).
If instead we own a Postepay, we download the apps from here -> Postepay (Android) and Postepay (iOS).

With both apps, simply enter the access credentials to the post office account, then take a photograph of the QR code present at the bottom of all bills; the fields and the amount to be paid will be filled in completely automatically, so that we can proceed with the payment using the funds in our account or card. There is currently no better way to skip the queue, as we don't do it at all!

Skip the line to the Municipality: self-certifications

If your nightmare is the queue at the counters of the municipality, we can solve brilliantly using the self-certification forms, now accepted everywhere (as long as you enter truthful data!).
If we want to fill in self-certification forms directly from the smartphone, we advise you to purchase the Autocertifico app, available exclusively for iPhone at a cost of € 1.09.

Once purchased, we can download one of the many self-certification forms and complete them with any PDF or document modification program. Unfortunately there is no good app for Android devices, but we can download one of the forms to be filled out on the following site -> Telematic Self-Certification Forms.

Skip the line to INPS

Another place where there are really many people are the offices of the INPS: it is really difficult to find them empty and at best we will have to wait at least half an hour!
But few know that most of the questions and requests to INPS can be made directly from the INPS app, available here -> INPS mobile (Android) and INPS mobile (iOS).

To access the site we will have to use the INPS credentials (provided by the offices, therefore we always have to queue!) Or use the SPID to be able to authenticate; once logged in we can check all our online practices, read the news related to social security and submit a new application, completely skipping the line at the offices.
To skip the line completely, we advise you to get the SPID, as described in our dedicated guide -> How to activate SPID: complete guide .

Skip the lines in universities, hospitals and public services

If we need to skip the line in some university secretariats, hospitals or other public offices,
among the best apps we can install to skip the line, ufirst definitely stands out, available for free for Android and iOS.

If the office offers compatibility with the app, we will be able to obtain our number from home, choosing the day and time to present ourselves.
Once you arrive at the office or at the secretariat, just wait for our code displayed on the app to be called in order to proceed, skipping the whole line. Unfortunately, not many offices are compatible with this innovative service, but if we live in Rome or Milan we can have more luck and skip the line with this convenient app.

Conclusions

What we have shown you are some of the apps that we recommend you to use in order to legally skip the line and without angering anyone (in most cases!). Some of these apps allow you to completely avoid the queue, being able to act directly online without even going to a counter or office.
If we are looking for other apps or other methods to pay bills online, I invite you to read our dedicated guide available at the link below.
