Preview files in Windows for images, pdf, music, documents etc.

On MacOS there is an automatic function that allows you to preview and an image file, not in a thumbnail, but in a larger box.
For example, in an image folder, it is possible to see them large without opening them on the viewer program, directly from the folder.
If you like this function and want to try it on a Windows PC, you can install a small tool called Seer, open source, which remains in the background all the time with minimal memory consumption, activates the Preview function of MacOS in Windows for images and other types of files.
Seer can also be purchased in a more complete version from the official website.
After installing it on Windows, start it and try immediately what it means to have the quick view function of image files or documents as it happens in Mac.
Then select, for example, a photo or a PDF and simply press the space bar on the keyboard to open that file in preview mode, to give it a quick look without having to open that photo or that PDF with the default program.
The preview view works with many types of files including, in addition to images of all kinds including those of Photoshop and PDF, also text files, audio files and therefore music and mp3 files, videos and even movies in divx, avi and mkv.
In practice you get a program that opens almost any type of file quickly, which does not replace the default program, but that only works as a quick viewer, useful when we are not sure that a file is what we are looking for, to see a large preview of the contents of the file.
The preview pane can also be resized, smaller or larger.
The preview can also be rotated and buttons to open that file or to locate it in Windows Explorer appear at the bottom left.
Note that the preview viewer always remains in the foreground until it is closed by pressing the space bar once more.
The settings of the Seer program are accessible by pressing the right mouse button on the icon that hides inside the notification area, near the clock, pressing the arrow upwards if not visible.
In the settings you can choose whether to start Seer automatically when Windows starts, whether to make it check for updates and with which keys to preview the files.
The plugins section is interesting, to make the preview viewer work also with Office files, with Autocad files, with eps files and with fonts.
Alternatively, a program for viewing file previews without opening them, is Quicklook, a Microsoft Store application for Windows 10, very convenient and simple
Once installed, just select the file you want to preview with the mouse and press the space bar.
This program also works with images, photos, documents, videos and many other types of files.
