With all the programs available for Windows, before trying to understand the ones that really serve you need numerous attempts and, often, you try and install software which, after a short time, are removed and uninstalled . Especially those who follow blogs like this, are used to trying tools and programs on Windows, install them, start them, play them a bit and then, if they don't like, uninstall them.
An eternal problem that Windows has always had is that of the complete removal of programs : traces always remain in the form of empty folders, files or registry keys or information registered on the operating system.
The fault, in reality, is not only of Windows but also of software developers who always try to keep a presence on the computers where their programs are installed.
Obviously all this is annoying and, in the long run, it creates a lot of garbage which, in serious cases, could also lead to the slowdown of the computer.
Completely uninstalling an application no longer wanted by Windows is not as easy as it seems and it takes an external program.
Of the best programs to uninstall programs on Windows I had already talked about in the past.
I wanted to dedicate this article to perhaps the most powerful one, ZSoft Uninstaller which acts as an uninstaller but not only.
ZSoft Uninstaller, free for Windowx 7, Vista and XP, is much more than just an uninstaller.
This application also offers other functions for analyzing program installations and a tool for searching and removing temporary files.
The ZSoft tool is very light and opens a rather spartan main interface graphically but very essential and precise.
At the beginning you can go to the Language menu and select the Italian language .
To do a standard uninstallation of an installed program just select with the mouse from the list and click on the Uninstall button.
ZSoft Uninstaller starts the official uninstall tool related to that program or, if it wasn't there, what you would see if you used the default installation tool built into Windows.
Next, ZSoft Uninstaller displays the list of uninstalled applications and asks if you want to search for leftover items of these programs on your computer (the question in English is: " Do you want to search for leftlovers"> By double-clicking on one of these applications In the list, click Next and ZSoft will search for items (files, folders and registry keys) of that program that have not been removed from the hard disk during uninstallation.
At the end you can select the items in bold and press the Remove button.
I have to point out that when deleting system files and registry keys it would not be recommended unless you know what you are doing.
It is therefore advisable to have a backup ready or, at least, to create a recovery point.
Perhaps the most powerful way to cleanly uninstall any application is to use data from a monitored installation process.
Basically we go to make a comparison between what was on the hard disk before the installation of the program and what is after all the components are installed.
The uninstallation then becomes simple and clean, with the removal of the differences.
ZSoft Uninstaller offers an installation monitoring function which is started by pressing the " Analyze " button.
PPractically, before installing a program, press on Analyze, then on Next with the selection to the function " Analyze an installation " and finally press on " Before installation " being careful that the disk on which you then select is selected. will install the program.
When the analysis finishes, install the programs normally leaving ZSoft Uninstaller in the background.
Then go back to the ZSoft window and click on " After installation " which scans the disk again and stores the result.
In the end, give any name.
On Zsoft, going on the Analyzed Programs tab, you will notice this name.
By pressing the right button, you can uninstall this analyzed program, after confirming your responsibilities.
All references, files and registry keys that were created during the time between the scan before the installation and the scan after the installation can be completely deleted .
With this curious but clever method, all traces of the uninstalled program will disappear forever .
Among other features, in addition to the uninstall function, ZSoft Uninstaller also includes the " Temporary files " tool.
This tool searches the hard disk for temporary files which, if you want, you can delete them all in one click.
Scrolling through the Tools menu you can see other useful tools including:
- The Empty Folder Finders to delete empty folders on the computer.
- The Startup Manager to disable processes when Windows starts .
- The Badware Finder which scans your computer for malicious programs .
I personally believe that a type of tool of this kind is really important, especially if you use the PC by installing and uninstalling new programs often.
ZSoft Uninstaller is very useful for keeping Windows clean and, if used with non-Microsoft programs and, therefore, not related to the system, it cannot create any kind of problem.
