Among them, the best is undoubtedly Google Docs or Google Docs because, in addition to having the functionality of a free and almost complete Office suite even in the most advanced features, it also allows you to read and view almost all types of files.
The novelty of the last few days is that Google Drive Viewer online, the tool (Chrome extension) to open files uploaded to the internet, has become almost a universal viewer, with which you can read and open files of different formats .
Google recently added support for those file formats that are commonly used for exchanging design projects and for document extensions created with the latest versions of Microsoft Office 2010 ( Docx, Xlsx and Pptx ).

In particular with GDrive today the following types of files can be opened and read: Adobe Illustrator (.AI), Adobe Photoshop (.PSD), Autodesk AutoCad (.DXF), Scalable Vector Graphics ( .SVG ), PostScript (.EPS, .PS), TrueType (.TTF), XML Paper Specification (.XPS) and then also Image files (.JPEG, .PNG, .GIF, .TIFF, .BMP), Video files (WebM, .MPEG4, .3GPP, .MOV, .AVI, .MPEGPS, .WMV, .FLV), Text files (.TXT), Markup / Code (.CSS, .HTML, .PHP, .C, .CPP, .H, .HPP, . JS), Microsoft Word (.DOC and .DOCX), Microsoft Excel (.XLS and .XLSX), Microsoft PowerPoint (.PPT and .PPTX), Adobe PDF, Apple Pages, Tagged Image File Format (.TIFF), archive (.ZIP and .RAR)
This means that, if before a Photoshop designer had to necessarily convert the PSD file and send his work in PDF format to allow even those who do not have Photoshop to open the file and be able to view it, now instead you don't need to have Photoshop installed, just go with the browser to the Google Drive web pages, upload the file and view it.
In addition to Photoshop it is now possible to open DXF drawings created with Autocad and SVG vector images, as well as of course files created with Microsoft Office 2010: DOCX, XLSX and PPTX .
As usual, support for the new formats has an impact on other Google services that use the Google Docs viewer.
Among them, it is important to underline how today Gmail allows you to open all types of documents, images and files online that are viewable with Google Docs, without the need for desktop software to be installed on your computer.
Google Drive Viewer is available as a Chrome extension to be installed from here and can be used to view any document uploaded to the Internet, pasting the URL.
