Use your smartphone as a PC with keyboard and monitor

For those who work a lot with the computer, it may happen that you need it at a certain time, but you don't have it available.
The solution, therefore, is to use the smartphone as if it were our PC, to do those jobs and those tasks on the small screen, even to bring the laptop with you.
Keep in mind that modern smartphones are nothing more than mini computers with which we can do almost any operation and that they can become excellent substitutes for the computer if necessary.
To use the smartphone mobile phone as a PC, be it a Samsung Galaxy, a Huawei, an Android phone or an iPhone, however, it is necessary to prepare some applications and have some accessory devices that can also make working from the smartphone comfortable and easy, just like it would be done with a regular computer or laptop.
1) Connect keyboard and mouse to smartphone
Maybe for someone it can be taken for granted while for others something strange or impossible, but as you can do on tablets, even smartphones can have keyboard and mouse connected to use them as if they were mini portable PCs.
The easiest way is certainly the USB cable, which requires, to connect a keyboard, the USB OTG (On The Go) connection.
This can be done in a simple way with almost any type of Android smartphone (such as the Samsung Galaxy or Huwei) that support the input of a keyboard via USB cable.
You can buy on Amazon the USB OTG cable with 2 Euros or the USB OTG adapter at 6 Euros (The adapter without cable is particularly comfortable and hides well).
At that point you can connect a USB keyboard (they should all or almost all work) to the OTG cable and run it on Android without doing any particular configuration.
The only limitation is that not all smartphone manufacturers include support for USB OTG so it will have to be checked or tested first, perhaps by buying the cable and trying it with a USB stick.
If you don't want to use cables, then you can use a Bluetooth keyboard, which works great on both Android and iPhone, even if it consumes more battery.
The keyboard should also include the touchpad, so that an additional mouse is not required and you can work on your smartphone like a real small PC, without having to touch the screen.
The smartphone should also be held up by a dock, i.e. a base that holds it upright.
2) Connect the phone to a monitor or TV
Once we have a keyboard and touchpad, we can already use the smartphone as if it were a PC, but to make a perfect transformation we would need a bigger screen, a monitor or even a TV.
Also to connect the smartphone to the TV or monitor we have some solutions, both wired and wireless.
The cable is always the simplest solution and this time you must use an MHL Micro USB to HDMI adapter cable that allows you to connect a screen via the HDMI port of the monitor or TV and the Micro USB port of the mobile phone.
The only problem is that not all Android phones support MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) connection and therefore you need to check first.
Instead, the MHL cable for iPhone works without problems.
Wireless, however, the easiest way with an Android phone is by using the Chromecast, which allows you to project what you see on your Android phone onto the TV.
3) The Apps
If you want to use the Android smartphone as a PC, then it is also convenient to transform it graphically.
You can install one of the launcher apps that turns Android into a Windows-like system to make it easier and more optimized for viewing on the monitor.
As an app to work, then, I refer to the list of best applications for tablets, among which the Microsoft Office app for Android and iPhone or the Polaris Office app with Chromecast support are very important.
Pgni document can then be kept in a Cloud service such as Google Drive, Dropbox or Onedrive.
In conclusion, having a smartphone and a keyboard, you can already work on it as you would with a PC.
If you were also in a room where there is a TV or monitor, then you can also connect the screen to your smartphone to better see everything and use the Office app to write Word, Excel and Powerpoint documents without any limitation.
