Find the title of music and songs you hear on your PC

How many times do you happen to listen to a song on the radio or on television or in a video on the internet and ask yourself " What a beautiful song this is, what the title is"> While from smartphone everyone knows how to do it because there are apps to recognize songs as Shazam, if we are on a PC we have to use different programs, which work well in the same way and are able to find the title and author of every music that we listen to from the computer, or even from other external sources using the microphone.
There are several ways to recognize music and find the title of unknown songs on PC and the most effective are the following.
1) Shazam, the main and most famous application for identifying music was purchased by Apple in 2017 and is available as a Mac computer program, not for Windows (the app for Windows 10 existed but was withdrawn).
2) Audiggle is the free specialized program for Windows PC that recognizes the title and author or singer of a song that is heard on the computer. The program should only be downloaded for free and installed on your computer and is only for Windows PC. A registration with login and password (6 characters) must then be made; for the e-mail address you can also put a fake Email, so you don't have to confirm it to activate the account. After starting it, you can choose whether to use the computer microphone or the Audiggle Recorder. If you use the microphone, you can make Audiggle recognize music from the stereo, radio or television simply by turning on the computer microphone. If you choose the second option instead, any song that is listened to from the speakers of the computer can be recognized, even if it comes from a YouTube video, from a CD, from streaming TV, from a film or any other source.
To start the search for the title and the author, just press the CTRL-ALT-A keys or, on the Audiggle interface or on the taskbar icon, press File - Search . After a short period of about 10 seconds, during which the song must remain playing, the title and author of the song appears at the bottom right. There are also two icons to buy music on Itunes or Amazon but, as we know, you first download it from one of the websites for free mp3 download. For each song found you can then see the complete text by clicking on Lyrics and the concert dates of the author by clicking on Concerts. Among the options, you can set a parameter on the " Recordings " tab so that, if the song is not recognized, you can try raising the accuracy bar that tells the program to search better. Audiggle, is a free program that has not been updated for several years, which recognizes most (not all) of the songs, which can however be used with the limitation of 5 searches per month with the free account.
3) Tunatic is another program to recognize songs and find titles of every music that you listen using the computer microphone, simple to use and free. It hasn't been updated in a long time, it has a very small and ineffective database and then it doesn't work with computer audio. In practice, it is of little use and it is better to move on.
4) Audiotag is a website that allows you to upload an mp3 file to find the title and author of that music. It is therefore not used to recognize songs from listening, but from files that can be sent to them for free.
5) Midomi is the site I have already talked about in the past that allows you to find the title of a song by singing it.
6) AHA Music is the best solution on this list, which allows you to identify songs that play on your computer on Youtube or other music sites. It is an extension for Google Chrome that can recognize any music that is playing on the open tab of the browser. Just install the extension to find the button that starts automatic recognition. Whenever you listen to an unknown song on the internet, in a Youtube video or other site, you can simply press the AHA Music button and wait a few seconds before seeing the title and author, with the link to the song on Spotify, YouTube and Deezer.
6.1) The AHA Music extension is a tool on the Acrcloud website that also provides a web application to recognize songs listened to via a computer microphone.
7) Finally, it is possible to recognize unknown music and songs from Windows 10 by asking " what song it is " to Cortana, the voice assistant .
