As we have seen, in version 29 of Firefox there have been many important changes in the browser interface which has become more customizable and has removed the orange Firefox button in the upper right corner. Starting from Firefox 29 you can completely change the arrangement of the visible buttons and also those of the entirely new options menu.
But those who think that Firefox should not be the same as Google Chrome and those who preferred the old interface, can always go back to see the square tabs, the old Firefox button and the status bar at the bottom by installing a single extension .
To customize Firefox and go back to the old look you must download and install the Classic Theme Restorer add-on (no longer exists)
After the installation you will immediately see that Firefox will have returned to the old look, without however changing its functionality.
This extension doesn't just change Firefox's appearance, it also adds some very useful customization options .
When you go press Customize, from the settings menu at the top right, you will notice many more options than before.
For example, you can make the buttons smaller or text labels added to them.
There are also other buttons available, such as showing and displaying the favorites bar as a column on the left or the one to go to the previous pages and reload the current tab.
At the bottom you will notice that you can move or remove the add-on bar, automatically restored by the extension.
On the bottom bar you can add buttons by dragging them over them.
The customization options are certainly many more than before, but there is also another add-on-specific options menu.
From the orange button at the top left, click on Add-ons and then on the options for Classic Theme Restorer .
You can edit many things from here like, for example:
- Use a square or curved shape for cards
- Whether to use the application button (the orange one), whether to hide it, move it or change its color.
- Choose which buttons to see and which not
- Change colors and many other special options to discover and try.
Each change is immediate so you can activate it and then deactivate it without fear, seeing the effects live.
Classic Theme Restorer is therefore also the best extension to modify Firefox graphics entirely.
