Let's say immediately that Microsoft Office is a paid program, not free, that you cannot use without having purchased the license. Anyone who owns a copy of Microsoft Office 2010, Office 2013 or Office 2016 and no longer has the program installation files, can still download them directly from the Microsoft site in order to reinstall them, if the license allows, even on a new computer or on the old one after formatting or updating it.
Those who do not have it can always buy the discounted license in order to activate Office 2010 or 2013 or 2016.
Below we see how to download Microsoft Office, with Word, Excel and Powerpoint, legally .
1) From Office 365 subscription
Those with an Office 365 subscription can download the full versions of the most popular programs, namely Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
This also applies if you work in a company that has purchased the Office Enterprise license.
You can then access the Office account page with the e-mail address linked to the purchased license (personal or business), log in and click on install.

2) From the Microsoft site if you already have a license
If you purchased a computer with a regular copy of Microsoft Office installed on it, you can use the product key to download Office from the download page of the Microsoft site .

Once the settings are confirmed, the link to download the corresponding version of Office will be provided.
3) Download Office from the Microsoft server
As we saw in the guide to download each version of Windows, there is a small program that, legally, manages to capture the various download links in order to obtain the ISO image to install Office on the PC.
Obviously, each version must then be activated with a product key, otherwise it will not work.
The program is the Office ISO Download tool that allows you to download Office Professional 2010 in Italian.
Unfortunately Office 2007 is no longer available while it will be found that Office 2013 and 2016 it is possible to download the IMG files that cannot be installed without immediately inserting the product key.

4) Buy Office, license and DVD, with discount from Amazon
The best way to get the latest version of Office if you don't have a license is not by buying it from the Microsoft website at full price, but by looking for it on Amazon which, usually, makes big discounts and also sends the DVD at home.
In particular, you can buy Microsoft Office 365 Personal in Italian for just over 40 Euros with a one-year subscription to Office 365.
Another excellent deal is to buy Office 2013 Home and Student, in Italian, without subscription and without expiration, at 76 Euros or Office 2016 Home and Student at 100 Euros.
Also not to be underestimated is the idea of buying Office 2010 Home and student, available only in English at 120 Euros, with the advantage that it can be used all your life on all the computers you want (while Office 2013 and Office 2016 can be installed only on a PC).
5) Get Office programs for free (not Microsoft)
If you don't want to pay, today free alternative programs to Microsoft Office, such as Libreoffice or FreeOffice are absolutely up to the situation, at least for home (but also corporate) use.
A cloud version of LibreOffice like Office365 has also recently been released.
