I finally found a very valid program for Windows, XP, Vista and Windows 7 that allows you to copy files of a specific type or format into the same folder . It is therefore one of those non-essential tools that allows you to save time in doing file movement operations .
If on another page you can download a program that allows you to copy files that are in different folders, in one now, conversely, you can choose some files of the same type, which are in a folder mixed with another, and move them to another directory.
For example, all files downloaded via the internet or with Emule end up in the same "Downloads" folder, so you will find yourself, if you hadn't organized yourself before, with music, movies, .zip and .rar archives, files. exe and much more, all mixed together.
In order to avoid moving these files one by one, you can use a simple program which, after configuring as you wish, moves the images in one folder, the music in another, the videos and the films in a third, documents in a workbook, archives in a program folder and what you want, where you want.
1) Digital Janitor (for Xp, Vista and Windows 7) helps the user in selecting the folders where you want specific files to be saved and copied.
Knowing the file extensions (what is to the right of the dot in the file name) you can then set on Digital Janitor which type of file should be moved and in which folders, thus making the sorting process automated.
The operation of the program is very simple, you must specify the folder you want to empty in the top box (like the Download folder or the one with the mail attachments or the one downloaded from the internet), choose the type of file based on the format (for example mp3, jpg, avi, flv, doc, rar and so on), then locate and select the directory where you want to move that specific type of file.
It is possible to specify, simultaneously, a maximum of 7 rules that apply to 7 types of files to be extracted and moved.
Once finished with the configuration, press the Auto-Sort button to start moving and sorting the data on the computer.

DropIt adds an icon to the desktop on which you can drag files with the mouse to automatically see them moved to the right folder, according to the extension, according to predefined rules.
Creating the rules is very easy and intuitive for everyone.
For example, you can set a simple rule to say that all PDF and Word documents (* .doc, * .docx, * .pdf) must go to the Documents folder, while video and mp3 (* .mp3, * .mp4, * .wmv) in the Media folder.
DropIt is useful not only for tidying up your desktop, but for organizing files in any of the other folders on your hard drive.
You can move or copy files from one folder to another or you can set the "compressed" transfer mode.
You can also combine DropIt with Windows desktop search to organize files on your computer by searching for them by format and dragging them all together into DropIt.
3) Another program to move files to various folders quickly is Drop Zone which instead creates boxes in which to drag files to move them to a specific folder depending on the extension.
4) QuickMove is a free program for Windows to automate the process of moving files to specific folders based on their type or based on their name.
QuickMove adds an entry to the context menu of Windows Explorer that allows you to configure new rules for moving files.
5) Download Mover is a program that has been created to keep folders organized for users who regularly download files from the internet.
The fully portable application works on any version of Windows, 32 or 64 bit.
In the program interface you can specify an extension such as, for example, the JPG and say that all files of this type must be moved to a specific folder.
