Double Action slow motion shooter, free and multiplayer for PC

When it comes to multiplayer shooters, most games try to innovate the genre by designing more complex levels, special weapons and game variations that go beyond the simple deathmatch.
Unfortunately, however, in modern games that can be downloaded for free, this search for complexity often comes at the expense of gameplay and, above all, they are never really free, hiding inside upgrades, weapons and special paid bonuses.
None of this happens in a new PC game called Double Action Boogaloo, a classic and multiplayer third-person shooter, as fun as a 90s action movie and completely free .
For those who remember, the game looks a lot like Max Payne 2, even if in multiplayer mode.
The main feature of Double Action (and the one from which the title derives) is the double phase of frenetic action and slow movements, a bit like in the Matrix film when the protagonist must avoid the bullets.
The action in some chosen moments slows down in slow motion to allow the player to take good aim and shoot the enemy by hitting him.
Slow motion is an ability that the player has, to be activated at the right times, to slow down the scene in order to have 4 or 5 seconds to get closer to the enemy and hit him with maximum precision.
This allows everyone to think more strategically about the next moves, to predict where the opponent is going or to reload the machine gun (which often discharges and can frustrate a slow-motion action).
Up to 16 players can participate in a game, all with the ability to jump and stay in the air for a number of seconds, as if time slows down and almost stops.
You can shoot through the walls, slide around the corners, dive to avoid the explosions and jump, flying, between the roofs of the buildings.
For example, there is a level that is played all on the roofs of a skyscraper where you spend more time jumping and "swimming" in the air than with your feet on the ground.
To win a game it is not important how many kills are done, but rather how the opponents are killed .
For example, hitting enemies in the head has a much higher value than hitting them in the back.
Killing the enemy with less powerful weapons, with a punch or with a simple gun rather than with the machine gun, gives more points of style.
Double Action Boogaloo is a really fun game, fast and with as much action as there are few for PC, which, even without many maps or original game modes and even if the graphics are nothing exceptional, is one that you do play right away without having to take time to learn it and without having to understand how it works.
Double Action Boogaloo was created by independent programmers from a Half Life " mod " and can be downloaded for free from Steam, the world's leading PC game store.
Below the video that makes it clear what the double action in slow motion means.
