Help PC friends with Windows 10

With the update of the anniversary of Windows 10 has brought several new apps and features to the PC, often also quite hidden (such as the Windows 10 mobile hotspot function).
Remote assistance is a new app included in Windows 10 that allows us to give assistance to the PC of friends or to receive help from more experienced or better friends, to solve certain computer problems, without any need for them to come and visit us.
With this application (which is the evolution of the Windows 10 remote assistance program) our friend can easily take control of a friend's PC from his home as it happens with the remote desktop and, vice versa, you can access the PC of a friend if this needs our help.

To use this application, it is necessary that those who offer and those who receive support have a PC with Windows 10 updated with the August 2016 anniversary update.
The app can be found from the Start menu, simply by looking for the word " assistance " or quick assist by starting the Quick Assistance program.
The app requires that the person asking for assistance and the one offering it are both sitting in front of their PC to authorize the connection.
Assuming you want to help someone by accessing their computer remotely, click on " Offer Assistance ".
You will therefore need to log in with your Microsoft account to receive a security code that expires after ten minutes.
If the code expires, a new code can be generated by clicking again on the button to offer assistance.
This code must be communicated to the person requesting assistance who will have to open the app on their computer, click on " Request assistance " and then enter that code received (within 10 minutes).
After confirmation, the connection will be established and who gives assistance will be able to see the desktop of the other person's computer and use it, remotely, to make any appropriate operation, with all the privileges that the owner also has .
You can then install programs, run specific commands from the administrator, change configurations in the Control Panel and so on.
Just be careful not to change the network settings, otherwise the connection may drop suddenly.
At the top right of the window, there are buttons for drawing on the screen, changing the size of the window, restarting the computer remotely, opening the task manager or ending the support remotely.
The other person can see everything that is done on his computer, even to understand what the most experienced friend is doing.
The annotation icon at the top right of the window allows you to draw on the screen in order to communicate and make the other person understand what to do.
At any time, the remote connection session can be ended by closing the app.
This tool is designed to help those who need a problem on their PC or even to teach them how to use their PC.
If you don't like or want something more powerful, you can always use other apps to share your PC screen
