If the PC continually restarts indefinitely: Windows 10, 7 and 8 solutions

Every morning I get up, turn on the PC, go to breakfast and when I return Windows is started and ready for work.
This is what should always happen, unless something goes wrong and Windows refuses to boot.
In another article we have seen several solutions in case Windows doesn't start and doesn't start .
Let's go back to the topic, trying to solve the problem of the continuous restart of the computer, when the system loads up to display the Windows logo and then starts again, going in a loop, without ever reaching the login screen or the desktop.

In previous versions of Windows the almost obligatory solution was to reinstall the system from scratch.
Fortunately, Windows 7, as well as Windows 8 and Windows 10, has been designed with a recovery mode that often works to solve that continuous restart problem, indefinitely.
The error occurs because of a problem on the Windows registry that is impossible to fix if it doesn't load the desktop.
To overcome this problem and return to loading Windows, you must use the Windows 10, 7, 8 system recovery options .
To start the computer with the system recovery console, you must insert the installation DVD and start the PC from a CD / DVD player.
In the recovery console you can select Windows 7, Windows 10 or Windows 8.1 in the list of installed operating systems, go ahead, select the first option, that of repairing the boot and continue in the wizard.
If the computer had a pre-installed partition for recovery (which is often present in laptops and pre-assembled PCs), the DVD is not needed, just enter the advanced boot options screen (usually a key to be pressed on the keyboard for the start menu) among which there is the computer reset.
Windows Restore allows you to repair any system errors.
If the Restore option does not work, a message will appear warning you that Windows cannot repair your computer automatically.
At the bottom of the message, instead of going to View advanced options, press on Command Prompt .
Without being afraid of the black command prompt interface, just know that it allows you to manage Windows from the keyboard.
It opens with a cursor that flashes next to the writing X: \ which is the internal RAM disk of Windows.
At this point, type the following commands with absolute precision and, after each, press Enter.
Note that the commands on the prompt, once executed, cannot be canceled.
- Type C: and press Enter.
- Write dir and press Enter to verify that you are actually on disk C.
- Write: cd \ windows \ system32 \ config and then repeat the DIR command to verify that these files and folders are present:
regback
DEFAULT
SAM
SECURITY
SOFTWARE
SYSTEM
- MD MyBackup to create a folder and then write copy *. * Mybackup accepting every warning (this creates a copy of these files to restore if errors are made).
- Enter Regback with the CD RegBack command and then DIR to view the contents of the folder and check that there are 5 files inside it making sure that they are not 0 bytes (otherwise this method will not work).
- Copy the 5 files in the upper folder (the config folder) with the command copy *. * .. always giving Yes to the warning messages about overwriting existing files.
- exit
Restart your computer now and, perhaps, the problem of continuous restart will be solved.
If this method doesn't work and if your computer is Windows XP, refer to the guide: Restore or reinstall Windows without losing personal data and settings .
