Smooth and smooth scrolling with the mouse on Windows, Chrome and Firefox

The mouse wheel is very convenient for vertically scrolling web pages and documents.
Whenever you scroll up or down any page using the mouse, it scrolls 3 lines at a time by default.
If you want to change this setting on Windows or on the web browser, you can do it to have a more uniform and less snappy scrolling, in order to make the reading of the pages more fluid .

On Windows, to change the scrolling settings for all installed programs that provide vertical scrolling, you need to go to Control Panel> Mouse and open the Wheel tab.
From here you can change the number 3 by putting 2 or 1 to scroll the pages with jumps of two or one line at a time.
Scrolling may become slower and not be comfortable for scrolling through very long documents or pages, but the feeling is that of better control.
The change affects not only the written texts, but also the folders, to scroll the included files and Internet Explorer to scroll the web pages.
On Internet Explorer, in addition to changing the number of shots that vertical scrolling makes by turning the mouse wheel, you can also activate continuous scrolling (which by default should already be activated)
Then click on the gear icon at the top right, go to the options and then to the Advanced tab .
In the list of options, scroll down to the Exploration section and then put the check mark where it says " use continuous scrolling ".
Click on Apply and finally on Ok .
Google Chrome had, until some version ago, an option to activate continuous scrolling, which now no longer exists.
The only way to get fluid scrolling back into Chrome is by installing an extension like Smooth Chromium Wheel Scroller or Smooth Scrolling which have several options for changing scrolling speed, braking and acceleration.
Firefox has the option to scroll continuously through the advanced tab options.
You can add options and make scrolling more fluid and uniform and with variable acceleration with the Smooth Scrolling extension that also supports scrolling via touchpad similar to that on smartphones.
To conclude, even if it has nothing to do, I remembered a game that allows you to measure your ability to scroll the mouse wheel.
It's called 100 meter scroll, a race to make 100 meters as fast as possible with scrolling down.
