Search for Java on Google and the first result is the link to the Java.com site with the link below: " What is Java"> browser plugin that you need to keep up to date to surf the internet safely. The Java Runtime Environment (JRE) for everyone can be downloaded from the Oracle website by choosing the 32-bit x86 or 64-bit version for Windows and also available for Mac and Linux.
The Italian site Java.com has not yet updated the download link for Java 8 but you can test the correct installation of Java on your computer from this page.
In Chrome, plugins like Java are disabled by default and should therefore be activated when required.
Also check if there are other previous versions installed on your computer and remove them.
Open the control panel and, in Windows XP go to Add or Remove Programs while in Windows 7 and 10 go to Programs and Features .
