Clean up Facebook by hiding news from boring sites, groups, apps, pages and friends

When you use Facebook for a while, this happens: you make new friends, you are subscribed to new groups (for which no authorization is needed), you install new apps and games and you click Like on some pages that you want follow.
It is obvious therefore that with all this stuff, when you open the Facebook home to scroll through the news you will find stuff of all kinds, often uninteresting, with fake news sites, invitations of applications or games and interventions from friends mentioned in you really don't want to know anything, but it seems ugly to cancel.
Fortunately, it is quite easy to clean Facebook from boring things, hide uninteresting news and permanently block sites, applications, pages, annoying groups and even friends from appearing on the Facebook home.
1) Clean up friends
To manage friendships you can refer to another article with all the ways to avoid annoying friends from appearing on Facebook without removing the friendship .
In fact, you can stop following a friend, however, leaving him among friends by clicking on the down arrow that is located on the right next to each news item.
2) Clean up the Groups
I never understood why anyone can join us in a Facebook group without asking for our permission.
You can then go to this page
You may be surprised at how many groups you are a member of and each of them can publish something in our news flow.
To get out of the groups, you have to press the gear and leave the group.
3) Clean up the Pages
The Facebook pages on which you click Like, can appear in the news flow.
The best way not to see them is to remove the Like, by going to the page itself and pressing the X on the Like button.
You can also stop keeping the Like but stop following a page.
As for friends, you can click on the Follow button already on the page itself or, in the news flow, when you find an update from a page that you don't want to follow anymore, click with the mouse on the down arrow at the top right in each news box.
Regarding the pages, it is also possible to create lists of interest on Facebook by organizing the pages into groups and categories.
4) Hide Applications and Games
To permanently end the flow of messages from a particular application, click on the drop-down menu which is the down arrow at the top right corner of the box and select " Hide all from [application name] ".
In Facebook settings in the applications section, you can restore news from blocked apps.
The applications that are not used is better to remove them completely from this page
5) Hide news from boring sites
We all share news from every website on Facebook.
There are people, however, who have very easy sharing and often fall into sites without any credibility or who publish insipid, fake or joking news but which do not make us laugh.
In this case it is not necessary to stop following a friend, just ask Facebook not to display more news from a particular website.
To do this, when you find one of these news items, press the usual triangle on the right and then choose " Hide all from Site name " or " Hide all from ... " (it's a new function).
After a recent update, you can choose who to follow and who not and which news to see first on Facebook .
From here on, it all depends on how Facebook is used.
When adding new friends, they can post uninteresting things, when you click Like repeatedly, there is a risk of following useless news and so on.
Note that by clicking on the down arrow next to any news item on the home page, an " Improve news section " option appears, which starts a guided procedure where you can indicate the degree of interest for some news picked up at random by Facebook, to instruct the site to view what we really care about.
Of course, if you become a Navigaweb fan, don't hide my news!
