Remix an online video by adding writings, images, maps, tweets

Mozilla has released a new completely free web application with which you can add multimedia elements to any video.
In practice, you can, in a very simple way and without wasting too much time, remix a video by adding pop-ups, comics, texts, superimposed images and much more.
Using the simple drag-and-drop, you can add a graphic element that can be fixed or dynamic, through a convenient selection menu that can also be used by an inexperienced user.

To get started, you can open Mozilla's PopCorn Maker application (it no longer exists) and start a new project by pressing the button in the center of the page.
The first thing to do is to choose a video to edit.
The videos cannot be uploaded from the computer, they must already be published on the internet on a site such as Youtube or Vimeo.
In the Media section, the video link must be pasted, which can be any taken from Youtube .
At the beginning, to facilitate the learning of the application, there are two elements to customize: the image and a writing.
To change the image, you can simply drag an image from your desktop with the mouse over the panel.
To change the writing, just write and edit the text.
From the Events menu, you can add: writings, images, pop-ups and then also a series of tweets from Twitter, a map from Google Maps and a box with an article from Wikipedia.
For each element there is a configuration menu with an option that allows you to decide when and how long such an element should be displayed during the video .
In this way you can build a story with images, pop-ups and dynamic elements taken from the web, which appear and disappear in sequence over the video.
The sequence of events is clearly visible from the bottom timeline, where you can decide, the time of appearance and disappearance of each element to order them consistently.
Among the effects there are also the Cut to exclude a part of video from being displayed, the loop to repeat an endless piece of the movie and the Pause, to stop the video at a certain point, perhaps saying, with an inscription of continue if the user wants.
At the end the video can be saved in your account (which must be registered) and shared on the internet through links or by embedding it on a web page.
