Recording the machine data on the computer means keeping track of all important data relating to the vehicle registration document and historical data relating to maintenance and repair costs. This job becomes very useful for storing all events relating to the car, motorcycle or any other vehicle, so as not to forget about it.
For example, to remember when to change the oil, change the filter or change tires or to keep track of the mechanic's repair and maintenance interventions, also in order not to be fooled.
It is therefore a question of writing, on a database and an organized calendar, all the data relating to one's own vehicles, be they cars, mopeds, scooters or anything else.
My Car Monitor is a program, also in Italian, that you can download for free.
After installing it and after choosing the language, you must register the program, always for free, by sending an email and requesting the activation code.
The first vehicle is added, which can be the car owned and give it a name, which should be the license plate number.
In the following sheet you can immediately mark all the mechanical data : fuel consumption, type of petrol, properties of the model usually written on the registration document, price and date of purchase, any guarantee and insurance.
Obviously no field is mandatory and this section can also be skipped for a later compilation.
In this way, however, all the identifying information on the car is stored in one place so that you do not have to go and look for it among files or paper documents.
After pressing on " Next " a few times, you can press on " Settings " to access the program settings.
At the top there are a lot of buttons that make quick start of the screens also present on the list on the left.
Each of them is a specific section where it is possible to record data of different types.
For example, there are forms for marking tire data , accidents, mechanic interventions, expenses and costs, gasoline, travel etc.
Below, where " Add Entry " is written there are quick links to add new entries to the database quickly, for each of the modules indicated above.
The third section is that of the reports with which it is possible to view the aggregated data according to particular variables and to discover, for example, that the month of June is spent on gasoline more than in May or that in the last year the car is costing more in expenses from the mechanic.
All reports can be customized as you wish and it is also possible to print them, perhaps to show them to a potential buyer or to the mechanic himself.
You can also create a photo gallery with photos of the machine on the main page, at the module called " Main ".
No more effort, therefore, in keeping records on mileage for travel or for having to remember when to do a certain maintenance job, just record all the data on the program and, if you want, have a notice or notification sent to your computer.
It then also becomes a reminder program to remember the deadlines on the car or on the scooter.
For diligent and precise people, this program then becomes very useful in preserving the history of the machine and also being able to resell it at a higher price, demonstrating the maintenance and repair records on paper.
