Which computer to choose: requirements for a good PC

If we have to buy a new computer, what requirements should "> internal components of each PC have and with the advice to choose the laptop to buy."
In this article we are going to find out what is the most important part of a computer, the requirements it absolutely must have today to be considered a good level PC and to work well in every operation, both at home and for work.
It is therefore a matter of figuring out which computer to choose and what must not be absolutely missing if you want it to last for a long time and if you want to avoid any problem of slowness or incompatibility.
In this article there will not be a list of computer models for sale, but I will try to make a general speech on the requirements that applies to everyone, based on today's technologies, both for those looking for a desktop PC at home, and for those who have need a desktop or laptop computer to work.

The main features that describe each computer when presented in malls or online shopping sites are always: processor speed, amount of RAM memory, space in the storage unit and if it is a laptop, resolution and monitor size .
Which of these is the most important requirement?
1) Processor speed.
This feature greatly affects the price of the computer rather than its overall performance.
Let's say that today even a 300 Euro computer can have a decent processor that allows you to do almost any basic operation without problems: work with Word or Powerpoint, surf the internet, see videos and photos and things like that.
The higher the price, the faster and more modern the processor, with more cores for multitasking (i.e. to keep multiple programs open together).
On which processor to choose we have written a separate article and it can certainly be important to know what differences there are, for example, from an AMD CPU and an Intel CPU, between an Intel Atom or Celeron, an i3 or i5, between an i5 and an i7 etc.
For the purpose of this article, however, let's say straight away that no special requirements are required for the processor when choosing a general purpose computer (except just check that it is 64 bit)
Just know that the more the PC costs, the faster the processor will be and of a good standard (in general this rule is respected).
Keep in mind that the processor on laptops cannot be changed, while on fixed PCs, where possible, it is certainly not the part that is going to change more often.
NOTE: If we are buying a computer to work with architectural drawing programs such as AutoCAD or to work with Photoshop at high levels or for video editing or for processing large databases, then the processor speed becomes the most important feature to look at.
2) RAM memory
RAM is definitely a key part of any computer and it's pretty obvious that the more, the better.
On a PC with Windows 10 64 bit system it would be very important to have at least 8 GB of RAM, to ensure a fast computer in everything and without slowing down.
If you find an opportunity for a computer for sale that has all the requirements to be considered a good PC, but only has 4GB of RAM, you can postpone it and choose it anyway, because you can add another 4 GB RAM card in the future, being very easy to mount on both desktop and laptop PCs.
3) Storage unit (hard disk or SSD)
Computers with hard drives or SSDs can be found as storage units.
Usually those with hard drives have 1 TB (1 Terabyte are 1000 GB) of space or even 2 TB without major price changes.
Those with SSDs, on the other hand, are often limited to 256 GB of space or 512 GB, with a sometimes significant price difference.
You can learn more about the differences between hard disk and SSD in a dedicated guide;
Since the SSD is much faster and lighter than a hard disk, at this point, you can fix what is the most important requirement that everyone must comply with without exception: Whatever the purpose, whatever the job, whoever it is person who has to use it, you will always have to choose a computer with SSD, never ever one with Hard disk .
The SSD is today the part of the computer that makes the difference, which must not be renounced even if the price was higher than the budgeted one and also going to give up other features such as the speed of the processor.
4) Video card
The graphics card is really something that should not influence the choice of a new PC, unless it is intended to play with it or to use professional graphics and video programs.
5) Resolution of the laptop monitor
This is certainly an important feature for notebooks, both for the size and for the definition of the screen and the visual quality.
In this case, however, the choice is subjective because there will be those who want a larger or smaller screen and those who particularly care about high definition to see films and videos and those who have no interest.
In conclusion, the requirements for a good PC are : that Windows 10 is 64-bit (otherwise you will not be able to use 3.2 GB of RAM), that the RAM is 8GB or at least 4 GB with the possibility of future expansion, which the storage drive is an SSD.
The processor will be more or less good depending on how much you spend while for everything else, such as USB ports, connections, the burner, the audio and other important parts of a good PC, it is not something of which there you have to worry particularly, because in general they are similar for all computers,
