Try Joli OS the web application system for netbooks

Update: Joli OS no longer exists.
If someone has already tried to install Google Chrome OS, the operating system that uses web applications that only work on computers connected to the internet, has been satisfied or at least intrigued, pending further developments can try its major competitor called Joli OS by Jolicloud.
Jolicloud is a new operating system, released a few days ago in beta, which can also be installed together with Windows and which consists of a web application launch panel.
The peculiarity lies in the fact that it only works via the Internet and all the programs that are found or added to it are not installed on the computer but are used online and also the documents and files created can be saved online in a freely usable remote hard disk .
This type of operating system will become, from next year, a standard for netbooks, mini PCs, which need light programs and which are born not so much to work 8 consecutive hours at home but to always be brought with them to always remain connected to the internet.
To try Joli OS all you have to do is download the exe from the official 600 MB website, launch it and in an instant you can use the operating system.
If you install it completely normal, without configurations, a dual boot is created on the computer therefore, when the PC starts, there will be a menu where you can choose whether to start the computer with Windows or whether to start Jolicloud.
You can also install Jolicloud from the USB stick; in this case the JoliCloud ISO must be installed, either from Windows, Linux or Mac, on a USB stick with the tool included in the jolicloud ISO.
Once all the files have been copied, just start the PC from USB (press Esc or F2 at startup) and follow the guide on the site.
For the moment Jolicloud is one step ahead of Google Chrome, with far fewer bugs and much faster. perhaps because it is already at a more advanced development.
You can already enjoy the speed of program execution with Jolicloud which also allows you to add new ones from the Ubuntu Linux repository.
Jolicloud is one of the light, fast and ideal Linux distributions for netbooks .
Maybe, those who have tried them can give a preference or they can simply debate again on the usefulness or not of these "cloud based" operating systems
