To send links via email on Chrome and Firefox

Despite the evolution of online communication systems, email still remains an indispensable and convenient means of sharing information with friends or relatives, in a private way.
If you do not want to share publicly on Facebook or Twitter the link of an interesting web page, an article from this blog or a particular website, to send it from the PC to a friend and only to him, the fastest and most efficient way it's still the Mail.
To do it quickly, it is better to install a particular extension that makes a button appear on the browser to send any web link via email with a click, without having to do too many copy and paste laps.
Google provides, for this purpose, an extension of its own for Google Chrome that works only with Gmail .
It's called Send from Gmail and opens a box to immediately send the address of the site you are looking at in the body of the email.
You can then write the subject, indicate the recipient from the address book and send the link immediately, as you would from a mobile phone.
If you do not use Gmail, also for Google Chrome, you can use the Share link email extension which also supports the Yahoo Mail and Outlook.com mail services.
In this case, just press the right button on the empty space of a page or on a link to see the Share Link option and choose how to send the address in an email.
If you want a button to send a link from Chrome via email, using a program installed on your PC such as Outlook, Windows Live Mail or the Mail app, you can add a new item to the bookmarks bar.
Right click on the bookmarks bar, click on Add Page, give it a name like "send email" and paste the following code in the URL field:
javascript: location.href = 'mailto: "> Share Backported.
A click on the paper airplane icon shows the default sharing services such as Facebook, Reddit, Twitter, Gmail, Telegram or Outlook, to send the link to the page you are looking at.
This is the best way to share links with mail services other than Gmail and Yahoo Mail and to use programs such as Outlook or the Windows 10 Mail app.
If you are using Microsoft Edge in Windows 10 you can share a link via email via the button at the top right of the share, which allows you to choose the Mail app to send email.
