Opera returns with the Turbo and is a browser full of everything

For those unfamiliar with it, Opera was, until a few years ago, the fourth most used browser in the world, after Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer, with many fans who, rightly, enhanced its unique features compared to the others as well as the its speed.
The developers of Opera Software then chose to change the rendering engine and use Webkit / Blink and rely on the open source Chromium project, becoming in fact only a variant of the Google Chrome browser and removing many of the features that had made it famous (such as the server function of Opera Unite).
The decline in popularity has not however stopped the development of this browser which, especially in the Opera Mini versions for Android, iOS and Windows Phone, is still highly appreciated.
The version of Opera for Windows, Mac and Linux PC has now reached version 33, becoming a full browser that is worth trying or trying again .
Opera 33, based on Chromium 46, is a very solid browser, with a new logo, very light, with a special feature that deserves this article, Opera Turbo 2, the improved version of the historical compression proxy that saves a lot of traffic and make web pages load faster.
Opera Turbo derives from the old Opera 11 and allows you to route HTTP traffic (it does not work with HTTPS sites) on Opera servers before reaching the user.
Opera servers compress the web page, the images and all the files from which it is composed in order to make it much lighter and much faster to load (since the size of the data sent is much smaller)
It is basically a data compression system similar to that of the Opera Max app to save data on Android and iPhone smartphones.
Opera Turbo is activated from the options menu that appears by pressing the Opera button in the upper left, going to Menu> Settings> Browser .
Opera Tubo is incompatible with Opera VPN.
In addition to this, it should be noted that Opera integrates all the best Chrome functions, including bookmark management, click to play (to be activated in Settings> Websites ), notifications, account synchronization, privacy management, recent tab button ( at the top right), notifications, tracking protection, spell check in Italian, quick access card etc.
Bookmark management allows you to import bookmarks from other browsers such as Chrome and Firefox from the Opera menu .
Account synchronization allows you to have all your favorites on every computer used with Opera and also on smartphones (on the Opera browser for mobile phones).
In the latest version, sites can also become protocol managers so, for example, Gmail can become the default app to send Email by clicking on the email addresses found on the internet.
Opera also supports extensions that can be downloaded from the Opera addons site.
As explained, all the extensions of the Chrome Web Store can be installed on Opera, so you don't have to give up anything.
Not only those who are still open to changing their browser will be able to give Opera a chance, but I recommend everyone to install Opera for its Turbo function, which allows you to compress the data and which becomes essential if you use a consumer connection for surf the Internet.
