MySpace to listen to music and share your favorite songs

MySpace, the old social network that had been annihilated by Facebook and that seemed to have to close, is back with a new, new version, now becoming a music-only social network .
The new MySpace, promoted by the famous singer Justin Timberlake who is also among the owners, has been renewed in the graphics becoming a web application made to share and listen to your favorite streaming music .
The best thing is that, compared to other music sites such as Spotify and Pandora, operating only in the United States, MySpace Player can also be heard in Italy and also contains a lot of Italian music, as well as the great international hits.
In the new Myspace you can register using a Facebook account, Twitter or the old MySpace account which is independent of the new one.
If you already had an account on MySpace.com, it still exists (at the moment) and works normally and you can leave it where it is.
In parallel and without any connection, a new account can be registered at Myspace.com where the elegant figure of Justin Timberlake who promotes his song " Suit & Tie " appears today.
Once registered with a name, a password, an email address and a profile picture, you can navigate in modern horizontal navigation design which, like Pinterest, is all based on visual elements, focusing on music.
The registration also asks what kind of account to create, between musician, writer / journalist, DJ / Producer and Brand, fans and others.
It should be noted that artists who are licensed to stream music on Myspace while regular users can listen to music, create radio stations and connect with the content of the artists by following them.
The artists who create Myspace accounts are listed in a separate search list of people and are connected with their music.
First of all, you can write a post like you would on Facebook and search for people to follow.
What is published by the connected and followed people appears on the stream that is populated and browsed by scrolling the page horizontally.
The connections are highlighted by the rings icon.
In the vertical gray bar showing biography and connections, you can click on the pencil and write a presentation.
In MySpace there is also a cover image that can be modified by loading a background with a minimum 1024x768 pixel.
A unique feature of MySpace is the possibility of being able to choose a profile song, which can be any one.
You will notice that the MySpace interface is terribly modern and dynamic, made in such a way that it never reloads.
Also you can choose the Top8, the 8 most important friends.
On the profiles of friends you can click on " Post " to share content with them.
You can only share things with people who have reciprocated the connection.
Obviously you can comment and share content (such as photos, music, etc.) as you would with Facebook Like.
In MySpace you can also chat with friends via the message function located above the music player bar.
To discover the other functions and all the contents shared in MySpace, you can click on the Discover link and browse the boxes of the horizontal flow.
All this, however, is the outline of the social network MySpace which, as mentioned, is all based on music .
Myspace has partnerships with major record labels so you can find almost everything.
This is where MySpace exalts itself as a site and as a social network becoming a great online music site .
At the bottom, on each page, there is the player and you can search and listen to songs and music albums of all kinds.
Then press on the magnifying glass, write the name of an artist such as, for example, Fabri Fibra, Ramazzotti or Lady Gaga, choose an album or a song and add it to the player.
In this way, for other songs, you can create a list of songs that is played without interruption, one song after another.
Searched for one or more songs, you can activate the Radio function that allows you to automatically select music to listen to online, depending on the genre and the chosen artists.
Each song can be shared on its own profile and can be added to a Mix, a list of songs to be shared on the profile.
You can also share a song by creating a new post on your profile, writing the title where Add Song is written.
The mixes are mixed collections of songs, photos and states.
By default, Myspace generates a general Mix stream and one for cover photos.
If there is music in the Mix, you can start playing the songs with one click.
Mixes appear in the search for songs as if they were playlists to be shared and listened to online streaming.
To conclude, given that we are talking about a piece of web history, it is interesting to take a step back and see, briefly, what has happened to MySpace in recent years .
MySpace was founded well before Facebook existed in 2003 by student Tom Anderson and Chris DeWolfe and was purchased a few years later by Rupert Murdoch for $ 580 million.
In a short time and until 2008, it became the number one social network in the world and among the top 10 most visited sites.
Even in Italy many people used MySpace which became a showcase especially for musicians because it was possible to publish music online for free, by uploading mp3 files in the profile.
The winning factor of MySpace was the possibility of being able to customize your page as you wanted therefore, in addition to being a music site, it was also a blog platform (similar to blogger.com) where you could create a personal site, your own MySpace precisely.
The unstoppable rise of Facebook sent MySpace into sharp crisis which was very slow, lacked dynamism and, above all, the possibility of interacting with other users and friends in a simple way.
The problem was in its key feature, that of personalizing the pages, which made loading profiles and MySpace in general slow.
Between 2009 and 2011 MySpace lost millions of users and it seemed really over, so much so that it was sold off for just 35 million dollars to a company called Specific Media, which includes the famous singer Justin Timberlake .
