1) Google Arts & Culture for Android and iPhone is the best app ever to virtually visit the main museums and archaeological sites in the world with truly well-made 360-degree tours, which seems to be really there.
Thanks to the high resolution photos it is possible to look at pictures in an ultra detailed way.
Like any Google app, this one dedicated to art also provides a powerful search engine to find cultural information on everything, event or place.
2) MoMA, the museum of modern art in New York, has its app for both Android and for iPhone and iPad so you can see behind the scenes of the new exhibitions or to browse through the collection of works by MoMA.
The MoMA App is used to discover current exhibitions, schedule a visit, browse or search for the tens of thousands of works in the collection, see multimedia tours and get to know the artists.
3) Guggenheim, the other museum in New York, has its app for iPhone and Android that graphically reflects the architectural style of the building.
There are audio tours and virtual visits to the current exhibitions and you can see the museum's permanent collections.
