Keyloggers are those spy programs that record everything that is typed on the keyboard and store it in a file that can be read. The behavior of spy Keyloggers is very similar to that of malware used to spy on PCs in order to capture data and information.
In this article, however, we are not going to talk about computer viruses, but of Keylogger spy programs for Windows that you can use for free on your PC to control what is done by other people, in order to keep them under control.
These are simple monitoring programs that can, ideally, be useful for monitoring your child's online activities (even if, as we will see, for this purpose there are more complete programs) or for spying on the messages sent from the PC and the passwords of other people, in case there is a reason to do it.
As the best and free Keylogger programs for Windows PCs we can mention 8 which are simple spies to use and above all safe (in the sense that monitoring remains with us and is not sent to strangers), which should not be blocked by antivirus.
1) Kid Keylogger controls what is done on the computer and works as a free and open source spy program for PC Windows and Mac, which fully records all the keys pressed and keeps them in a file that can be consulted at any time.
It can work invisibly, so that no one can understand that a keylogger is running.
The log file generated by the program contains a great deal of information, including the time, date, user, open applications and, of course, the keys pressed.
As the name implies, it is a program to monitor children's activities when they are on the computer, to check that they make correct use of the internet and do not go to communicate in dangerous chats with personal or sensitive data.
Monitoring also includes web history, voice recording, viewed images, chats, USB and DVD usage and much more.
KidLogger also offers cellular monitoring so you can monitor your child's or employee's mobile. KidLogger is free and open source.

2) Spyrix Keylogger is one of the most popular and famous programs of this type, especially because it is free to use.
I had already written a guide about this little software describing it as a very effective solution to spy on the computer with screen images and keyboard recording.
As already said, therefore, it is a complete keylogger that not only monitors which keys are pressed, but is also able to capture screenshots, i.e. photos of the screen, continuously, so that it then becomes possible to know what the person was looking at supervised.
3) Phrozen Keylogger is another very valid free computer surveillance program, which I have already talked about in the past, although it has not been updated since 2013.
This Keylogger works silently in the background, it does not stand out and saves in a file everything that is written with the keyboard and the keys typed on the PC, including symbols and special characters and key combinations.
Phrozen Keylogger is also able to save keystrokes on the virtual keyboard, it hides completely, it can be password protected and allows you to sort the log files chronologically, also making it easy to search for words within them.
4) Windows Spy Keylogger is a simple, basic program, for those who just want a keystroke recorder on the keyboard and nothing else.
This software must be downloaded (attention that the site is full of advertisements and fake download buttons) and installed on a PC, then at start-up you can start the check with registration.
In the settings you can choose where to save the log file.
Obviously the program remains hidden in the background when the window is closed and can only be terminated by stopping the monitoring before closing.
5) Best Free Keylogger is a surveillance and control program for business use, which has a simple free version that records keystrokes, visited sites, copy and paste notes and used programs.
The free version remains invisible, it can be password protected so that it cannot be closed without knowing it
6) Blackbox Security Monitor is a program to monitor computers also on the network, of which I have already spoken, which records all the keys pressed and all the things that are done on the controlled PC, as a complete spy program.
7) Hooker is perhaps the most hidden keylogger that can be found, a tiny, simple and so innocent program that almost no antivirus can detect it.
With Hooker you can only save what you write on your PC in a text file and nothing else, essential.
8) Revealer Keylogger is another rather popular and old program, which still works well as a Windows spy program.
With this Keylogger it is possible to know which programs have been used, which words have been written, which sites visited, which passwords and messages sent.
With these programs, be careful not to install adware by refusing commercial offers if present and, above all, be careful to make them invisible on the PC and protect them with a password.
To uninstall them, just go to the control panel and use the Windows uninstaller.
