Install Linux Easypeasy on Eeepc from USB stick, without cd

Among the first articles written on this blog are those related to the most popular and famous netbook, the Asus EEEPC of which I was one of the first and happy buyers.
The asus mini pc, in its cheaper version, is sold with an operating system called Xandros, based on Linux.
Since Xandros is really ugly and not very functional, a few days passed and I installed Windows XP which runs very well except for a few things.
Another easy and very efficient alternative for all Eee PCs, including the latest ones, is to install Linux Easypeasy (which replaces Eeebuntu), a version of the famous Ubuntu optimized for this small laptop.
The same procedure below is also good for installing the Linux Mint system, a version of Ubuntu very elegant and simple to use.
The best advantage of the Linux Easypeasy distribution is therefore the fact that it is based on Ubuntu, one of the easiest to use and most flexible and stable Linux versions of all.
With Easypeasy, the Eee PC becomes a real computer and no longer a toy useful only for surfing the web.
Easypeasy was developed to run on the eeepc hardware and incorporates in its installation all the software needed to use the computer: Firefox, Evolution (e-mail), OpenOffice, Skype, and everything you need for work, multimedia and fun.
It includes all the drivers suitable for the Asus netbook to make the built-in webcam, wireless, video card and audio work properly.
The speed of response to commands, the loading of the operating system and the management of memory in the use of multiple open applications, is much higher than in Windows XP and also in the Xandros operating system.
As for the installation procedure, I would like to elaborate, in this blog, all the complex steps and write a guide to be published, unfortunately, however, the installation of Eeasypeasy is too easy, short and within everyone's reach.
You don't even need to use an external cd player (the eeepc does not have a reader) and you just need a USB stick with a memory of, at least, one gigabyte.
1) Download the Easypeasy image.
2) Download Unetbootin (already seen in another post to install Puppy Linux on a USB stick)
3) Insert the USB stick on the computer
4) Open Unetbootin
5) Select the Easypeasy disk image you just downloaded from the "Browse" menu.
6) Click OK and Unetbootin will install Easypeasy on the USB drive.
7) Close Unetbootin when copying files is complete.
8) Remove the USB drive.
Now you just have to insert the pen on the EeePC, turn it on and repeatedly press the "Esc" key until the Bios screen appears.
In this screen there will be a boot menu where you can choose how to start the PC and select the USB flash drive.
After saving the bios setting and restarting the laptop, you can install Eeebutu following the wizard which should absolutely not create difficulties.
