Impact of starting programs, what it means

Few things are as frustrating in life as a computer that takes too long to turn on and become operational, from two minutes or more.
As we now know, the long Windows loads especially at startup, are mainly related to the computer in use and to the fact that it does not use an SSD instead of the slow mechanical hard disk (we talked about it recently in explaining what they depend on computer performance).
But in any PC used, the startup speed of Windows depends a lot on the amount of programs set to start automatically and on the loading time of these.
In Windows 10, and also in Windows 8.1, it is very simple to measure the amount of time it takes for a program to fully load on startup, in order to reduce the overall amount of time to fully load the system and have the PC ready.
This measurement is also important to know for which programs to disable the automatic start, because it becomes irrelevant to remove this setting for those with low impact.
To measure the load time of a program when starting the PC in Windows 10, you must open the Task Manager by right-clicking on the taskbar or pressing the CTRL-Maisc-Esc keys together.
If you have never done so, press the more details button to be able to see the real Windows 10 task manager.
Click on the Start tab to see the programs set in automatic start where, as we know, it is possible to disable some of them so that they are not loaded automatically. In addition, you will find a rough indication of the boot impact, which can be Low, Medium or High if that element significantly slows down the initial loading of the PC.
What we have never been able to see until today is a precise measurement of the loading time for each element.
To do this, right-click on the title of the " boot impact " column or another and select CPU at startup .
This will add a new column that displays, for each element, the total time taken by the CPU to load, measured in milliseconds .
Theoretically, any program that takes more than 1000 milliseconds to load (which would be one second) would be better off.
