Google today launched a new application called Google News (combining the two Newsstand and News apps that were present until 2018) that serves to stay updated on the latest news of the day. In practice it is an app that aggregates the main news so that you are not forced to go to every website and without getting lost in reading the same news.
Google News is the update of Google Play Newsstand with the news taken from the main Italian newspapers and information portals, both personalized news and those from favorite blogs such as Navigaweb.net.
The application, very similar to Flipboard, allows you to read the complete articles from online newspapers and blogs, with an automatic selection of the most important news.
The installation, free for both Android and for iPhone and iPad, allows you to select, from a library of recommended sources, the websites you like best to add them to your own personalized page.
To the personal magazine you can add as many sites as you want and just do a search to find even those not present in the official catalog.
Google News is available on PC via website and then as an app only on Android phones and tablets and for iPhone / iPad
Those who already used Play Newsstand will find all the same custom sources already added so they can uninstall that application or, if it is pre-installed, disable it in the application manager and download the new Google News.
The application now works intelligently so the more you read the better the selection of first page articles will be.
There are no categories, only a section with the latest news to which you can add sources by searching by word or topic or from the Explore section.
In the Explore section you will find ideas of sites to follow in the Newsstand, divided by topics, to personalize news sources on the front page .
For example, you can search for Navigaweb and then press the + next to the feed found to add that source to the first page.

In the " my news " section you can subscribe to magazines, newspapers, blogs and news sites and browse articles, with beautiful images and audio and video content directly within the app.

In the news section next to the icon of each source there are three dots that open a menu of options where you can also choose to keep that news in the mobile memory for offline access.
The new news articles can also be downloaded automatically to the mobile phone and read without internet connection by enabling the download of the news in the settings)
Favorite items can be saved to bookmarks to be found at any time.
