We arrive at the most awaited appointment of the week (at least for me, which I enjoy a lot) talking about fighting games, 2D fighting games, one on one, like Street Fighter 2, which made me throw a lot of money into the game room several years does! I agree with saying that today's video games, especially for consoles, have become monstrous, beautiful, engaging and realistic, however one cannot forget how fun 2D, fast, aggressive and competitive beating games are to the point of get poison when you get lost!

The discourse on the fighting game genre on PC is quite particular because in 1999 a software house called Elecbyte developed a game platform called MUGEN which allowed to play a fighting game similar to Street Fighter, with the possibility of putting the characters and backgrounds that you want.

It is clearly not just this, it is a really fun game, perhaps a little chaotic but certainly adrenaline-fueled where you choose one of the warriors and fight with other hands with other pretty aggressive girls.
Vanguard Princess is only in Japanese but it is quite intuitive where you need to press to play, then the keys and the moves are learned with practice.

To play on Windows, however, you must configure the Japanese language on the computer, going to the international options control panel.
4) Street Fighter vs Fatal Fury is a mugen redesigned with the characters of Street Fighter and those of another classic, Fatal Fury.
The graphics are very beautiful and there is a great variety of possible fights, always in 2d, always until the opponent's death.
5) Fans of the Naruto cartoon cannot miss Dragon Ball against Naruto, the fighting game with the characters of the famous Japanese Manga.
The barrel game is done very well, always in 2D, with one-on-one challenges and, above all, with all the characters in the saga who have the special moves identical to those visible in the cartoon.
For fans, there is also Naruto Mugen, Street Fighter 2-style fighting game, with all the characters from the Naruto Shippuden saga
6) If you like Naruto, surely you also like Dragon Ball ! Dragon Ball is the subject of a lot of games similar to Street Fighter, of good graphic level.
One of the best is Dragon ball Z Mugen 2 which allows you to choose even 27 characters with which to fight the martial arts tournament and where each of them has the special moves and the fighting style identical to what you can see in the animated cartoon.
You can play both one on one and in arcade mode, challenging your opponents in a progressive story line.
The problem is that it only works on Windows XP so, if you have Windows 7, you have to use XP mode.
The best barrel game with Dragon Ball however is truly a masterpiece and is called DragonBall Sagas .
This is honestly one of the funniest fighting games to play on free pc around.
Really nice especially in the successful realization of the power of the characters, as in the original cartoon.
7) Still in the cartoon field, the KenShiro fighting game (Ken the warrior) is among the best of its kind.
Hokuto No Ken is a very varied game where you can follow a story by going for the paintings and beating anyone who passes in front of you or playing with one on one fights.
The characters of the cartoon Ken the warrior are all there, including the very bad Shin, Raul, Souzer, Io and Caio.
Truly spectacular and fun, pay attention because this game raises a desire to go to a fight that, after playing, you have to calm down and relax before meeting someone!
8) One of the biggest and richest character mugen is Marvel Super Heroes, a fighting game in which you can challenge 42 different characters, each with their own moves.
There are all the characters of the Marvel comics, including Iron Man, Captain America, Cyclops, Wolverine and the X-men, the human torch, the fantastic 4, Spider-man, Hulk and many others.
It can be played in one-on-one mode or as an arcade.
9) The biggest and most ambitious Street Fighter 2-style fighting game is Hi-res Mugen which weighs 460 MB.
There are 40 mixed characters, all cared for in the drawings and graphics, with very varied moves and fighting techniques and set in very well-made and high-quality backgrounds.
Finally, I remember that some fighting games are mentioned among the old and classic games of the past in the DOS version or as Roms for the MAME emulator.
