Disable program compatibility in Windows if it is not installed correctly

During the installation or execution of programs on the computer, I think it has happened, at least once, to all users of Windows 7 and Windows 8 and 10, the appearance of an ambiguous message that says " It is possible that the program was not installed correctly . "
Two options are then presented, one to say that the program has no problems and is installed and functional, the other which instead leads to repeat the installation with the recommended settings.
This was a new feature introduced in Windows Vista and Windows 7 Windows 8 and 10 which serves to detect compatibility issues with programs that were designed for Windows XP and earlier versions.
Windows 7 and Vista then give the possibility to re-install the software trying to solve any problems with the UAC control (if you do not have administrator permissions) or using the compatibility mode, making the program believe that it is about to be installed on XP or on another Windows version.
In the vast majority of times the window appears without any reason and you have to confirm that the program has been installed correctly and let go of the other superfluous options.
Those who like to try different software or use portable applications may find the frequent appearance of this window irritating.
Furthermore, the compatibility troubleshooting was mainly needed a few years ago, when many programs had not yet been updated to work well on Windows Vista and Windows 7 and 8, today you can disable this check.
Disabling the appearance of this error message is very simple and you just need to disable the " Program Compatibility Troubleshooting Service " service .
From the Start menu, type the services.msc command in the search box and press Enter .
From the list of services, order them in alphabetical order by clicking on the header of a column and find the program compatibility service.
Double click on it and change the startup type from Manual to Disabled, then click on Stop and finally on Apply .
At this point the message " the program may not be installed correctly " will no longer be displayed
However, this does not mean that if a software does not actually work after installation, the system may show errors or, in the most serious cases, crash (even if it never happened).
Regarding the compatibility of the programs, I would like to remind you that you can install the XP mode to solve incompatibility problems of older programs.
